No, it's not going away. The reality television genre is growing even stronger as it becomes the umbrella for shows ranging from the traditional reality "game" shows like
Survivor or
The Apprentice, to actual game shows, to real life drama such as
The First 48 or
Intervention to talent contests and beyond.
What I'll be doing here is taking a look at some of the current newsworthy bits from recently-aired shows, checking out upcoming shows, and sharing the latest reality TV gossip. Is it real or is it just reality TV? As long as I'm entertained, that's all I ask of any show, scripted or not. Are you game? Join me beyond the jump.

Our Monday morning roundup of a half dozen things TV Squad readers - and TV fans in general - will be talking about this week.1. The Olympics. NBC, along with CNBC and MSNBC and USA and the web, will have approximately 477,312 hours of coverage. (Starts Friday.)
2. Primeval. New show about a rip in time that lets dinosaurs come through to modern England. Is
this one of them? (Premieres Saturday at 9 on BBC America.)
3. The season finales of American Gladiator and Nashville Star. People do still care about these shows, right? (Tonight on NBC.)
4. So You Think You Can Dance. The season finale. We know what happens to
Idol winners, but what happens to the winners of this show? (Wednesday at 8 on FOX.)
5. I Want To Work For Diddy. I'm not saying that. It's the name of a new reality show. (Premieres tonight at 9 on VH-1.)
6. Million Dollar Listing. One of the stars was
arrested last week, just before the second season premiere. There's no such thing as bad publicity, as the saying goes. (Tuesday at 11 on Bravo.)

Hopefully, the hip-hop mogul will get one on VH1's
I Want To Work for Diddy premiering this summer. Apparently, Diddy's staff is not doing their jobs. He was almost
snubbed from his own party this weekend. He hosted a bash at Lily Pond in the Hamptons and almost didn't get in because the club was at capacity with over 1,000 people ready to get drunk and crunk with the rapper.
The artist-formerly-known-as-Puffy was denied his grand entrance (a three car procession of Cadillac Escalades). The fleet was forced to turn around and the
Making the Band host had to go in the back door. Once he got in the club, the DJ turned off the music for fifteen minutes while the V.I.P. room was readied for his highness. That will show everyone a good time. Don't do the grand entrance. Just turn off the music and make everyone wait so you can get settled.
See, if he only had a good assistant... Hopefully, he'll find what he's looking for on his new
VH1 show.
I Want to Work for Diddy comes out in August.

If FOX's
So You Think You Can Dance, televised ballroom dancing, and the new talent show
America's Got Talent isn't enough dancing for you, MTV and Sean 'Diddy' Combs are teaming to create a new
street dancing reality show that will air on the network. Says Combs:
"This show will showcase the drive, determination, and expression of this dance generation - picture
Rocky, but with dance troupes."
Um, wasn't that
Staying Alive?
