(S09E35) Since
Big Brother 9 is so into recaps at the beginning of each show -- and they briefly recapped the whole season at the start of tonight's finale -- I think a recap of what it's been like for an observer is in order, don't you? Let's see how quickly I can do it:
Oh, no! Writers on strike! Quick, get together a
Big Brother winter season, make it couples, make it all about sex, get those ratings! Oh, no! The couples are flopping, go to singles, lose the "Til Death Do You Part" titling, sex isn't working, horrible hamsters! Make Sheila cry some more! Phew, it's D-U-N.

Yes, this is the last
Big Brother 9 live feeds report of the season. A bit later tonight I'll be writing up the season finale. It's just about D-U-N. Before I get to the jump, I want to thank all the folks who have commented throughout the season here. We have had a trying season with odd hamsters, an odd season itself which didn't have a lasting theme, but we hung in. We deserve the money!
Big Brother 10 is slated to start on July 13. I respectfully request better hamsters, please. Read on past the jump for the latest on the live feeds.

I personally think that
Big Brother 9 spends a bit too much time with the last two hamsters alone in the house. That was my thought back when the last eviction was on a Thursday. I feel even more strongly about the issue this season with a Wednesday eviction. It's prolonging the agony. It's like waiting on line at the DMV, sitting in the waiting room at the dentist's office. It's like standing in the express line at the supermarket with two items and being stuck behind a cart full of groceries. You just want to get through it, leave it behind, and get on with your life.
The only interesting happenings in this period are the reactions to the jury questions. Read on for show spoilers!

(S09E34) "I was getting drownded!" - SheilaHey, I know I know the word is "drowned." But I'm not Sheila, the single mom, and one of the final three houseguests on
Big Brother 9. I guess I made the foolish decision to work for a living and not pin all my hopes and dreams of a happy future on appearing on a reality television show. She made the decision without seeing even one season of the show in its entirety. I've seen them all. I would never be on the show, never!

It's down to the final three in the
Big Brother 9 house and this is what excitement is all about! Tonight is the penultimate show of the season and those zany houseguests are ready to break free!
Or, perhaps, I might be just being a bit silly. After all, even though the houseguests may have their stress, what about me? I've written about them day in and day out all season long. Don't I deserve the half million dollars more than they do? Aren't I deserving? It's not about Sheila; it's all about ME!

(S09E33) "Personally, I want to win this veto because I want to be a power whore." - RyanYep, I wanted to get the atmosphere just right for this review of the latest
Big Brother 9 episode. I think Ryan's sentence says it all. Well, as far as his own strategy goes, that is. He's sitting pretty heading into the final three as his position of Head of Household gives him a definite spot in the three. But the remaining three must wheel and deal, scramble, sell their souls ... whatever it takes.

Things are moving along for the live final part of the three-part head of household competition to be seen on Wednesday's
Big Brother 9. That's right. Only the last part will be actually live. Tonight's episode will show the power of veto and the eviction which gets the house down to the final three.
The winner of the first part of the HOH comp goes up against the winner of the second part on Wednesday night. That winner chooses who will be with him or her in the final two facing the jury. A lot of the action has already happened. Read on past the jump for extreme show spoilers!

Sometimes the live feeds from inside the
Big Brother 9 house are interesting, sometimes they're not. Sometimes, even when not much is happening, something will come along to make you snicker. Today was an example of just such a moment. As Ryan was reading, the theme music for the show piped throughout the house. Who was getting down and dancing to the music? Sheila and Sharon were. It was worth a mild snicker and I don't think it counts as a spoiler.

(S09E32) "Team Christ has passed away and cannot be resurrected." - RyanIt's down to the final four in that
Big Brother 9 house of misguided malcontents. What kind of wacky shenanigans will they pull this week? I can't believe I actually said "wacky shenanigans." I don't know what came over me, perhaps cabin fever from watching the live feeds and the show this season. Have they figured out that the guinea pigs are the third preexisting relationship in the house? Ryan has to put two of the three remaining houseguests on the block while he has alliances with two of the three. A sticky dilemma indeed!

Who's on first? What's on second? I don't care! As we get into the final days of
Big Brother 9, I have no one to cheer on. Earlier in the season I adamantly didn't want Sheila to win. But since she's stepped up her game a bit and actually got her hands bloody evicting Natalie, she's as good a candidate for the win as Adam, Ryan, or Sharon for me. Whatever!
Oh, I'm still interested in watching the show and the feeds, mind you. I just won't get too excited over who ultimately wins the half-million. I just hope the producers can come up with folks I identify more with for
Big Brother 10, set to premiere in July.

The hardest part of writing up these
Big Brother 9 live feeds reports is what you see me doing right now. I can't write spoilers here on the part which shows on the main page of TV Squad. Nor can I just have a whole bunch of white space here. I've tried dancing and singing, but we probably don't need to frighten people. But it's bad when even Sharon rolls her eyes thinking what I might be doing here. It's always a challenge!
What? You want me to stop rambling and give you the goods on the spoilers? Read on past the jump!

We have four
Big Brother 9 shows remaining in the season. We have four houseguests left in the house. Now, bear with me on this; hear me out. This season has been flawed since its start with the couples and the network thinking they were going to make it all sexy. Sure, some watch for that reason, but I think more are just intrigued watching how folks interact with each other in the house. So, four shows, four houseguests. Let's get rid of them one a show, then give the guinea pigs the money at the end. What do you say?

You'll be happy to know I checked into the background of the third preexisting relationship currently in the
Big Brother 9 house -- the guinea pigs. It is indeed a relationship started well before the ill-fated
BB9 season. Hansel and Gretal (their names have been changed to protect them from nefarious ne'er-do-wells currently appearing on the show) were high school sweethearts in Piscataway, NJ. Both pursued acting careers after college, but Hansel became a bartender at CBGB's on the Lower East Side while Gretal taught aerobics to gerbils in Washington Heights. Now, here's the kicker -- they met James at a bar in Brooklyn and he got them cast for this season.
Or, I could be making it all up. Show spoilers after the jump!

Beebies! My beebies! My fur-iends! I just don't know. I realize I talk to my cat, but I hope I don't sound as whacked-out as Sharon does when she talks to the guinea pigs in the
Big Brother 9 house. Of course, I discuss politics, religion, and world issues with my cat rather than just calling her pet names. That might be the difference.
One of the houseguests, either Sharon or Natalie, will be evicted on tonight's show. Don't you want to be prepared for the outcome? Read on past the jump for news from the 24/7 live feeds -- spoilers ahead!

(S09E30) "I kept getting turned down for acting jobs. Then I realized God wanted me to go on TV and be me." - Natalie
Well, I don't know about that. The more I watch Natalie on
Big Brother 9, the more I'm sure that Paula Abdul, Lucille Ball, and Chucky the killer doll had some sort of bizarre ménage à trois and came up with a love child named Natalie who has found religion and uses it as it suits her needs. Sure, she can play the game well. Oh, and she surely does a good Natalie. But I can't see her ever becoming an actress. Read on past the jump for my full review of tonight's show.
