Leave it to FOX to make a new comedy/drama set in a strip club. This one is called Tease (of course it is), and it's about a writer named Marie who goes undercover into the world of lap dances and lingerie to research a story. Right now it's a web-only series from 15 Gigs, but if it does well, it could find a place on the FOX schedule. Here's a preview. Not much clothing is involved.

I know some of you readers love her pieces, but I disliked this opening. It paled in comparison to Shane's opening last week and Wade's the week before that. I seldom enjoy Mia's routines though. The last one I really liked was with Danny and Lauren last season; it was a piece Mia had done for Celine's A New Day show in Vegas. It was intense and romantic.

(S04E05) How happy am I that Jason covered the last night of auditions on Wednesday! I'm going to agree with him about the two tappers. The second girl, Liz, was fabulous. With tap, the excitement happens below the knees so performers have to be conscious of what's going on with their upper bodies.Okay, I have a word problem for you. What do you get when you take hundreds of dancers then make them do four different styles, deprive them of sleep, critique them on national TV, and make them play some sick version of Mother May I to see if they get to the next round?

Are you ready for a Dancing With The Stars fitness book?
HarperCollins, ABC, and BBC Worldwide are getting together to create a book you've all been waiting for: a fitness guide based on the hit show Dancing with the Stars.
According to the press release, the book "will reveal for the first time how some of the stars and dancers got into the best shape of their lives. Included will be healthy recipes and simple dance moves as well as never before seen pictures and quotes from the stars and their partners."
Yeah, because I've always wondered how Tucker Carlson stays in such great shape.

William Shatner's game show sounds awesome!
I knew that Shatner hosting a game show would turn out to be interesting, even if the actual game itself was lame. Really, think of it: William Shatner hosting a game show! And now I'm convinced it's going to be the greatest TV show of all-time.Show Me The Money will not only have contestants vying for millions of dollars in prizes, but it will have dancers too! After a contestant answers a trivia question (I wonder if they'll be any Star Trek questions?), he picks one of the dancers. Each dancer will have a scroll in her hand, and on the scroll will be a dollar amount that will be added or subtracted to the amount of money the contestant has accumulated.
If that's not good enough for you, get this: at anytime during the show, a dancer can start dancing, and Shatner will dance along with her. Oh, this is going to be sooooo good.
Lisa De Moraes at the Washington Post calls it "Answers and Dancers," and I think ABC should have called it that too.
Regis Philbin to host new reality show
American Idol mastermind Simon Cowell has grabbed Regis Philbin to host his new talent show America's Got Talent, which NBC probably hopes will be its own Idol.America's Got Talent won't be just singers though. There will also be dancers and jugglers and standup comics and everything in between. The first prize will be $1 million. The show starts on June 21 with a two hour special, then settles into its regular Wednesday time slot.
Wow, you know how the auditions for AI can be hideous. Can you imagine how awful some of the standup comics are going to be?

Older Stones fans welcome at Super Bowl
Remember how the NFL put an age limit
on the "crowd" members who would rock out to the Rolling Stones during the Super Bowl haltime show? Yeah,
that's been lifted. The original casting call was for groups of people between the ages of 18 and 45 to play the role
of the crowd on the football field as the Stones perform. Organizers of the performance said they called for younger
dancers because the role was physically demanding. People had to run on and off the field real quick. And they had to
act like they're crazy for the Stones. Not surprisingly, the NFL heard from a lot of die-hard fans over the age of 45
who can totally rock out to the Stones like the younger crowd. So, they lifted the age limit. Or, maybe it was all the
press they were getting over the casting call. Anyway, now you only have to be 18 years old or older to rock out to the
Rolling Stones during the halftime show at the Super Bowl in February 5 in Detroit. All you old folks can sign up here.
