A bit more from Pearl the Landlord - VIDEO

Pearl McKayOkay, whether you found Will Ferrell and Adam McKay's video The Landlord extremely funny, or you were offended by the fact that it featured McKay's daughter, Pearl, cursing (and yes, she really was cursing), I think there's one thing we can all agree on: Pearl is really, really, adorable.

Check out the outtakes from the video below. You would have to be a vampire with a heart carved out of baby nightmares to not total fall in love with the little tyke. I think in some ways the outtakes are almost funnier than the finished product, since it shows Pearl behaving like an actual kid (i.e., she doesn't really care what all those crazy adults around her are doing, she just wants to bang some rocks together).

Anyway, check it out after the jump and have a larf.

The Five: Them lovely cartoon ladies

velmaFor today's episode of The Five we're going to wade into somewhat shallow waters and salute those smokin' cartoon females. They've impressed us over the years with their problem-solving skills, their keen intellect, their well-proportioned bodies, and their ability to shapeshift into rocketships, slide through keyholes, and take a piano to the head. Here we go:

Velma (Scooby-Doo): You thought I was going to say Daphne, didn't you? I won't deny Daphne is a hottie, but she's more than a little vacuous. Velma, on the other hand, has substance, and I wouldn't mind having her in my corner when crooked real estate developers start lurking around and trying to scare us. And heck, even that huge frumpy sweater can't hide the fact that she's rockin' some pretty righteous melons under there. I would also like to point out that "righteous melons" is an appropriate and acceptable medical term ... in my head.

My new TV crush: Kelly Miyahara

kelly jeopardySure, I've had a lot of TV crushes in my lifetime: Valerie Bertinelli, Amy Sedaris, and David Brinkley, just to name a few, but lately I've been pining for the lovely Kelly Miyahara, part of Jeopardy's "Clue Crew" who appear in video segments to give answers to the questions (cause this is Jeopardy!, they're all backwards like that). She's both pretty and smart, which is exactly what I look for in a woman whom I will never actually meet in real life. Besides, it just gives me another reason to watch my favorite game show each week, other than looking forward to those awkward exchanges between Alex Trebek and the contestants.

Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! coming to Nick Jr

wubbzyIf I thought we had a lot of preschoolers reading this blog, I'd say this post was just for them, but since I'm pretty sure that isn't the case, I'll say it's for the parents. Illustrator Bob Boyle, who worked on such shows as The Fairly OddParents and Danny Phantom, has created a super-adorable series for Nick Jr titled Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! The show won't hit the airwaves until this Spring or Fall, but there's already a blog where you can check out clips and images, not to mention a podcast  made just for the preschool set. I figure there's enough stuff online for us big people, so it's really neat to see something created just for the young ones.
