Reality television has become a career for Rob Mariano and Amber Brkich-Mariano. Although they were eliminated on last week's episode of
The Amazing Race, they recently gave an interview to
People magazine about their plans for the future. Of course, it involves more reality television for the both of them. Mariano said that they couple may be back for a second season of their reality show,
Against All Odds, and that they're also planning something that could "be huge".
The couple originally hooked up on
Survivor: All-Stars, where Rob proposed to Amber when she won. Since then, they've been on a season of
The Amazing Race (and almost won), and they also had a reality show about planning their wedding.
I actually like these two as a couple and I don't think they're bad people. I enjoyed them on
Survivor and
The Amazing Race, but I didn't watch their wedding show because I honestly didn't care. I like how Rob plays dirty and Amber pretends to be an angel until it gets down to the nitty gritty and she plays dirty, too.
Do you guys want more Rob & Amber?

(S01E02) Nightmares are an interesting phenomenon. What can seem terrifying while it's playing out in your subconscious loses much of its power once you wake up and try to explain it to someone. In that regard, Nightmares and Dreamscapes was a perfectly apt title for Stephen King's 1993 short story collection. When King is at his best, he's able to make even the most absurd situations seem real and horrific. When those same ideas are fleshed out into a visual medium, however, they become diluted without King etching the images into your mind himself.
This is why so many of King's works suffer when they're translated to the movie or television screen, and why "Crouch End" the second offering of the new series Nightmares and Dreamscapes: From the Stories of Stephen King (click here for Keith's review of the premiere episode "Battleground," based on a short story from the Night Shift collection) was more tiresome than terrifying. Also, out of all the short stories the man has written, this wasn't his best one.

What do the contents of your hard dirve have to do with your ability to connect sexually to another person? As far as I know, absolutely nothing, but that hasn't stopped MTV from creating a new reality series called Meet or Delete, in which college students get to check out each other's hard drives to see if they're compatible or not. Of course, I'm sure we'll be seeing the obligatory porn and other unseemly things, otherwise what's the point? It's not like college students in and of themselves are that interesting. The new show, which will air on MTV, MTV2, and MTVU, as well as on the network's Web properties, is being sponsored by HP, whose computers will also feature prominently on the show. The first episode will air on MTVU.com on May 10.
Chris also talks about this over on our ol' pal Ad Jab.

Back in January,
Jonathan mentioned actor David Hasselhoff and
his wife Pamela Bach were calling it quits after sixteen years of marriage. Well, as it turns out the split wasn't as
"amicable" as previously reported. Bach has accused Hasselhoff of allegedly roughing her up on at least
one occasion, and has asked for a restraining order. A judge denied the order but decided it was better to keep them
apart for the time being. Hasselhoff is also working on big screen adaptations of
Knight Rider and
Baywatch.

This could explain a lot. Star Magazine and the gals on
The View are reporting that
Skating with Celebrities pair Kristy Swanson and Lloyd Eisler are now an
item. On Monday's episode, these two really sizzled. Kristy seemed a lot more comfortable with Lloyd than she had in
the past episodes. She almost kissed him on the lips at the end of their routine, but he turned and she got his neck
instead. I know she's an actress, but she looked totally smitten with him during that whole routine. Whatever it was,
something changed for those two between the fourth and fifth competition. If it is true, it's not all happy. Lloyd's
wife is eight months pregnant with their second child.

The other day I caught a glimpse of the video for Jamie Foxx's song "
Unpredictable." The
video was rather goofy in its attempt to be sexy, so I had to change the channel before I choked to death from laughing
too hard. I didn't find out until later that Eva Longoria is in the video. If I had know I would have at least watched
it with the mute button on. Of course, now that she's starred in this "steamy" video and has been seen
palling around with Foxx, most recently at the Golden Globes,
rumors are
abound that the two are an
item,
though they both claim the accusations are false. I personally don't believe they're an item at all. I think Longoria
was hired to come to the set and watch over the team of twelve-year-old boys Foxx has hired to write lyrics for him
like "I'll be yo Tylenol just take me till you doze off." As long as he pays them a living wage, I'm totally
cool with it.
