Drop Dead Diva: Grayson's Anatomy (season finale)

Drop_dead_diva_Brooke(S01E13) Drop Dead Diva has lived up to the pilot/premiere, and in some ways, exceeded it. The Deb/Jane dichotomy has morphed into someone different than either pure Deb or pure Jane. Brooke Elliott is wonderful as "New Jane" with just a hint of Deb. As season one comes to a close, even if the writers hadn't left us with a cliffhanger ending, I'd be more than anxious to tune in next year.

There were two interesting cases on the docket for the finale, with Stacy offering lots of comic relief as second stool -- chair -- to Grayson in a lawsuit brought by a lingerie model who'd been fired because she went public with her surviving breast cancer. Jane's case was more complex, but not until after it had been won. More on both cases, and Jane's dilemma on the dating front, after the jump.

Learn whom Annie hit in the season finale of 90210

90210 on The CWThe first season finale of The CW spin-off 90210 ended with a cliffhanger that had fans wondering whom or what Annie hit with her car at the end of the episode.

In comments to my review of the finale, TV Squad readers said that, more than likely, Annie hit someone. So whom exactly did she hit? Some claimed it was Ethan since the actor is not returning next season. Others went as far as thinking Annie hit David Silver.

Annie did hit a person, and it's not Ethan or David. Want more info?

Warning! Major spoilers coming up! You've been warned!

How I Met Your Mother: Miracles (season finale) - VIDEO

How I Met Your Mother: Miracles
(S03E20)
Wow, talk about a jam-packed episode. We saw major character development, flashbacks upon flashbacks, some issues resolved and others completely thrown into chaos, and a whole lot of funny talk of miracles.

Oh, and we saw Sarah Chalke, as Carter Bays told me last week. That was just cherry on the sundae, though.

Since so much stuff happened, let's just get to it after the jump, OK?

Stargate Atlantis: The Last Man (season finale)

David Hewlett and Joe Flanigan - Stargate Atlantis
(S04E20) "This is the most elaborate practical joke of all time, or I'm in serious trouble." -- John Sheppard

And there you have it. Atlantis wraps up its fourth season, its first out on its own, with a little time travel and a big cliffhanger ending. It was a finale that I had heard described as "different." Having now seen it, it's hard to argue with the description. Having 56 minutes of your finale be things that didn't actually happen is certainly not the norm. While we can probably all agree on the different label, the bigger question is, "Was it good?"

What was the best and worst of television last season?

hugh laurie; houseAOL recently conducted a poll of readers to find out what they thought was the best and worst of television last season. More than 3 million votes were counted! They had to answer 20 questions about their favorite dramas, comedies, reality shows, and Sanjaya hairstyles. I don't necessarily agree with all the results, but that's okay. It's still interesting to see what got people excited last season.

Here are just a few of the results, to see the full list, click here:

Best Drama: House
Best Comedy: Ugly Betty
Best Reality: American Idol
Best Cliffhanger: Lost

My Name is Earl: The Trial (season finale)

Earl the Trial(S02E23) Next season on My Name is Earl: a very special crossover episode starring Prison Break's Wentworth Miller. When Hickey and Scofield find themselves sharing a bunk in a Panamanian prison, Scofield tries to break Earl out, but failing that promises to take over Earl's list.

But seriously, everything that happened in this episode was entirely predictable -- about 10 seconds in advance. Earl hooks up with the deaf lawyer. Saw that coming, a few seconds before it happened. Deaf lawyer dumps Earl after taking a closer look at his list. I needed about 15 seconds for that one. Earl makes a sacrifice to help Joy. Not too surprising.

NCIS: Trojan Horse

mark harmon(S04E23) This was kind of a confusing episode to me. Not that the story was hard to follow, just that it seemed poorly conceived. I thought the case of the week was well done, but kind of out of place. With it being the end of the season, and the plan already in place to make this a two parter, I would have rather seen something that focused in on the big stories.

It almost felt like flipping the channels between two episodes that were running at the same time. The brief phone conversations between Gibbs and Shepard kind of tied the two stories together, but more than anything, they just pointed out that the story of the week was taking up time that could have been spent on La Grenouille. Maybe I'm just a little impatient, having caught a bit of the finale fever, but it just didn't all fit together for me.

Showtime orders more Weeds

Weeds Doug Nancy CeliaIt's official, Weeds fans! Right when everyone was getting paranoid that Showtime might leave viewers in a lurch, they've given the greenlight for a season three with fifteen new episodes in the works.

The show's recent season finale was the most watched in the series' short history. It was the kind of cliffhanger Lost only wishes it could muster these days. Nancy and Conrad are screwed in the Tarantino, multiple guns pointed at them kind of way. Silas is on the verge of being busted with enough weed in his trunk to keep Snoop Dogg's crew happy for a long time. Shane is halfway to Costa Rica with Andy's loony tunes ex-girlfriend. Doug and Dean are mid-tussle on the Botwin floor, and poor Peter is nowhere good.

Brotherhood: Matthew 22:10 (season finale)

Brotherhood(S01E11) Matthew 22:10: The servants went out into the streets and gathered all they found, bad and good alike, and the hall was filled with guests.

A big Irish wedding, and Freddie Cork finally makes a move, ordering a hit on pain-in-the-ass Michael (Jason Isaacs), after going back and forth every other week over whether they are friends or enemies. The first surprise is Pete, who appears at the wedding all cleaned up -- this, after the last time we saw him, snorting coke outside an AA meeting with Eileen Caffee (Annabeth Gish). Judging from the selection played at the wedding, music stopped developing around 1983. (Spoiler -- a big one -- after the jump.)
