Apparently, having versions of the show in France, Germany and the U.S. isn't enough.
A new version of The Office is going to Chile. The Chilean version will star Luis Gnecco, whom I've never heard of but will undoubtedly become a household name in Chile soon if he isn't already.
With all these international versions of the show being broadcast, it's a wonder that Ricky Gervais wants to work again. I'm glad he does. I really enjoyed
Extras.
I recall reading that each version of The Office in each country has certain characteristics reflective of that country's attitude towards work. I wonder what characteristics the one in Chile will have that will make it unique to that country?

(
S11E04) We're already down to eight teams after last week's elimination of David & Mary from Kentucky. Now the race gets real serious because the weak teams have been weeded out. Plus, the field isn't so cluttered so we get to spend a little more time with each time. I loved how the teams went from saying they didn't care about Rob and Amber last week, to calling them "the team to beat" this week.
This week, the Racers flew from Chile to Argentina. The challenges weren't terribly impressive this week. One of the Detour options was super lame and the other was bad for poor spellers. Even though it wasn't very exciting to watch, it did change the entire race, putting the first placers (Rob & Amber) way back at the end of the pack.
My thoughts on the teams (AND
SPOILERS) are after the jump:

(
S11E02) This show has to be considered an aerobic exercise. Sure, I'm sitting on the couch, but my heartrate is always up when I'm watching
The Amazing Race. This week the teams are off to Santiago, Chile (they ended last week in Ecuador). We don't get to learn much about the country or any Chilean traditions. I like that part of
The Amazing Race, so hopefully that tradition will return.
