The Parents Television Council has filed a complaint with the FCC about the February 15 episode of Las Vegas that showed "shadowy naked women" streaking through the casino. Here's the video and the complaint filed by the PTC. You really can't see much in the video. It seems to be blurred a bit here and there. Is that the way it was shown on the network or is the video edited? This particular episode of the show ran Friday at 9pm and not usual 10pm slot. The show has recently been canceled by NBC, so this is probably going to be one of those times where we here about the ruling five years after the show is off the air (a la NYPD Blue). The PTC has also filed a complaint against CBS about Dexter.

I have no idea if the PTC has a legit beef here (though I see nothing wrong), but I do know that Shadowy Naked Women would make a great TV show.

A while back we told you about news that Las Vegas producers had approached former Magnum, P.I. star Tom Selleck about joining the series, and now NBC has announced that it's a done deal. Selleck will join the show this fall and be the new billionaire owner of the Montecito with a mysterious past (of course).

But James Caan fans take note: he will appear in the first episode of the new season to wrap up his storyline, and resolve those cliffhangers from the final episode this season. Along with Caan, Nikki Cox is also leaving the show.

Hmmm...mysterious billionaire? They should give Selleck's character the name Robin Masters. That would be funny.

For its next season, Bravo's Celebrity Poker Showdown gets a new co-host and a new location. In support of the people affected by Hurricane Katrina, the poker contest will film at Harrah's Casino in New Orleans. The building was damaged in the hurricane and just reopened in February. All the celebrities involved with be playing for Hurricane Katrina-related charities. Also, Phil Gordon is out. His replacement is poker champ Phil Hellmuth. Don't worry, Dave Foley is still the other co-host. No word yet on which celebs will participate, but I'd love it if they invite Bonnie Hunt back. She was hilarious.

We thought for sure that William Shatner's kidney stone would go to the ultimate Star Trek fan. Alas, it turns out the stone has gone where many strange objects have gone before: GoldenPalace.com. That crazy online casino bought Shatner's kidney stone for $25,000 (which he's donating to Habitat for Humanity). Golden Palace also owns a cheese sandwich with the image of the Virgin Mary and recently funded a trip for Dennis Rodman to visit foreign lands and compete in unusual contests. Shatner actually haggled with the casino for more money. The original offer was for $15,000 but Shatner told them that he had some fans willing to pay $100,000. Then, why didn't he sell it to a fan? Guess he was bluffing.

American Idol judge (and my junior high crush) Paula Abdul is being accused by two workers at the Silverton hotel and casinoin Las Vegas of getting them fired. The story goes that Abdul called the front desk in the early morning to change her flight plans for later that morning. The two girls working the front desk began to print out flight schedules, but in the midst of it all were called again by Abdul who told them the flights were all booked. She then blamed them for causing her to miss her flight. The workers, Carol Good and Damon Rosa, were both fired. I won't pretend to know who was right or wrong in this situation, but I was impressed that Good stayed past the time her shift was supposed to end in order to help out, if only because I used to work in the hospitality industry. Typically, once my shift was over I pretty much stopped caring about the residents of the hotel. This makes me a bad person, I know. I've been trying to improve myself through meditation.

Double or Nothing, a new FOX reality series, is looking for a person to sell everything they own for the chance to put it all on red or black on a roulette wheel. I'm not sure how you make an entire series out of one person making one bet, but I guess we'll have to tune in and find out. If you think this seems like a stupid risk to take, you're not alone. Author Steve Bourie, a gambling expert, says showing amateur gamblers making uninformed bets is very irresponsible. The show is inspired by Ashley Revell, an Englishman who literally bet everything on red and won. Bourie, however, still maintains that gambling should be a form of entertainment, and not a quick method of monetary gain. I would tend to agree, unless the person standing next to you is wearing a green sweater and you softly hum the theme to The Facts of Life while the wheel is spinning. Those are both signs of good luck and in that case you should by all means bet everything.
