Nerds and engineering students rejoice.
Battlebots is returning to television and this time it's on ESPN.
The show originally ran for five years on Comedy Central and included hosts such as Donna D'Errico and Carmen Electra. Bill Nye served as "technical adviser". ESPN promises that this time the show would be less about the female-model hosts and general silliness and more about the science and the robots destroying each other.

Yup, Carmen Electra is still hot like a solar flare. In fact, she's so smoking, I really have no idea what this commercial was even about for a little while.
There was a line, and some people, and gum, and security guards, and this little red dress, and a perfect smile, and some eyes, oh those eyes.
Wait, I remember now. The guy at the Carmen Electra meet and greet gave her a block of gum. For one thing, when did gum start coming in blocks? Secondly, is offering an uber hot celebrity a block of gum really a wise thing to do?

Looks like a lot more celebs are lining up to be on Donald Trump's Celebrity Apprentice than I thought.
So far, the Donald has signed Joan Rivers, Carmen Electra, Jim Cramer of CNBC, Naomi Judd, George Foreman, Pete Rose, Tony Hawk, Danica Patrick, and Jeff Gordon. That's quite a mixture of sports figures, comics, and really loud financial analysts. I wonder if Foreman will try to punch Trump if he tries to tell him how to sell things.
Trump says that there are over one hundred celebrities who wanted to be on the show (guess they'll have to wait until Celebrity Apprentice 2). Trump also reveals that Britney Spears and Paris Hilton have some interest in being on the show, and he's going to try to get Lindsay Lohan too. Oh, that would be great if they could be on the same team, wouldn't it? What could their team name be?

I thought there was something fishy about this David Hasselhoff drunk tape nonsense. It smelled of publicity to me, though why anyone would want to be filmed drunk and slobbering over a cheeseburger and potentially hurt his relations with his family is a mystery.
But guess what? The Hoff has an autobiography coming out May 15! I'm sure it's just a coincidence though.
The title, by the way, is Don't HassleThe Hoff. Jeez, it's one thing for others to call you "The Hoff," but calling yourself that? The book has a lot of (supposedly) juicy details, including Hasselhoff's revelation that he knows that Baywatch was a sexist show. The above link includes an excerpt from the book.

To slip up is human. Sometimes we know not what we are going to do, or say things we don't mean to say or have any intentions on doing. If you were watching television yesterday and happened to take some notes, you might have learned a thing or two about slips.
After making an appearance and modeling for a 'Max Factor Clothes off Our Backs' charity event in Hollywood yesterday, Carmen Electra was quoted during her red carpet arrival, that she had never fallen on the catwalk before. Shortly thereafter she appeared on the catwalk and
didn't realize she had jinxed herself and made a crash landing on the runway. Followed by an encore crash landing by Allison Sweeney of
Days of Our Lives. Extra was there with cameras on and more than willing to showcase for all of us to see. How embarrassing.
However hard she fell, it would never be harder than the slip that George and Izzie made on
Grey's Anatomy last night...

Yup, the short-lived Pamela Anderson FOX sitcom (short-lived, but still somehow made it to 14 aired episodes, scattered around the schedule) is coming to DVD in a "complete series" set on December 12.
The press release for this is so over the top: "Determined to prove she has ample talents beyond her ample talents...this hip, hilarious comedy...you'll bust out laughing!" Yeah, whatever.
The set is going to include 5 unaired episodes. Those must have been the brilliant, really funny ones. There will also be a few features on it, including something called "Nipplegate" and "Show Us Your Bloopers."

Here's a thought: how about working on your marriage in private before opening up your entire life to the cameras? Oh well. If every Hollywood couple did that, we wouldn't have anything to watch on MTV, would we?
The latest casualty in MTV-reality fame is Carmen Electra and Dave Navarro. After three years of marriage, the two announced that they are "amicably separating". Navarro is currently hosting the second season of
Rock Star and Electra is filming the movie,
I Want Candy.
Kinda sad, really. In a strange way, these two seemed perfect for each other.

How come these headlines never say anything like
"Jessica Simpson to star in remake of
Gone With The Wind," or "Jessica Simpson lands role in
latest Steven Soderbergh film?" It's always something about her being in
The Dukes of Hazzard movie or an
I Dream Of Jeannie flick.
Anyway, not that anyone asked for this, but they're making a big screen
Baywatch movie, and Simpson will play ... well, not sure of the character, but it probably involves a bathing
suit and not a business suit. No word on whether David Hasselhoff will reprise his role on the big screen. Maybe he
could be a Yoda-like character, training new, younger, sexier lifeguards.
Now, can Simpson possibly live up
to the acting of Carmen Electra, Pamela Anderson, and Yasmine Bleeth?

Back in May,
Carmen Electra put herself up for sale in an eBay auction, in hopes to raise cash for The National
Prostate Cancer Coalition. The auction had said the winer would get a date with the former Baywatch star,
though, since I didn't see the auction myself, I'm assuming it didn't go into strict detail of what a "date"
meant. Apparently, at one point, a bidder got a bit overzealous, bidding an untold amount that far exceeded what anyone
had imagined. Had the bidder not been disqualified, Electra says:
"It went up to some crazy number and I actually felt obligated to, like, sleep with
the guy." Doh!
