Wait, no SpongeBob SquarePants this week? Actually, two episodes of the show just missed making the top 10. Probably because a certain cranky doctor named House decided to go on a rampage this week and take up three spots. The NBA Playoffs are rather popular too.

A rather odd top 10 in the cable ratings this week. Not only did Monday Night RAW get pushed around a bit (down to #'s 4 and 6 for both hours because of strong showings for Rock Of Love and a Lifetime movie), but SpongeBob SquarePants has come back with a vengeance. He's not going to take any crap from anyone anymore.

So...NCIS not only makes an appearance in the Nielsen network ratings every week, now the repeats on cable are in the top 10? This show has staying power.
Other than that, no surprises here. Monday Night RAW gets back in the top slots, SpongeBob and Hannah Montana make appearances, and The Wizards of Waverly Place continues to grow. I guess if there's one other surprise is that a movie on Spike made it all the way to number four.
1. Monday Night RAW (USA)
2. Monday Night RAW (USA)
3. The Wizards of Waverly Place (Disney)
4. Spike TV Movie (Spike)
5. The Hills (MTV)

A rather mixed up top 10 in the cable ratings this week. Not only did a bunch of kids and a certain green, slimy substance knock around the Monday Night RAW wrestlers, MTV pushed into the list with two shows, America's Best Dance Crew and The Hills. No Hannah Montana or iCarly in sight this week.
But nothing can stop the SpongeBob SquarePants juggernaut.
1. Kids Choice Awards (Nickelodeon)

I just realized that I don't watch any of the shows in this week's top ten cable ratings. I mean, yeah, I've seen episodes of Law and Order: SVU and SpongeBob SquarePants in the past but they aren't shows I watch regularly. As for Monday Night RAW, Hannah Montana, iCarly, and Ella Enchanted...well, they're not really made for me I guess.
I think the last time something was in the top ten here that I watch regularly was Burn Notice.

OK, now this looks like the weekly cable ratings that we're used to seeing. Recent weeks have seen shows such as college basketball and election coverage get into the top 10, but this week we're back to the normal dominance of wrestlers and Nickelodeon stars.

Spongebob is usually in the top 10 every week, but this week he seems to have gone on some campaign to take it over completely. He grabbed the second slot (actually first in households) and four other slots, while the Duke/North Carolina basketball game grabbed number 1. Project Runway's entry was the season finale, and that election coverage on CNN is from Tuesdays Texas/Ohio/Vermont/Rhode Island primaries.
1. College Basketball - Duke vs. NC (ESPN)
2. SpongeBob SquarePants (Nickelodeon)

Yes, I did a double take too: is that really NCIS in the top 10 of the cable ratings? I'm used to seeing it in the top 20 every week in the network TV ratings (even though I don't know anyone who watches or even talks about it), but I was surprised to see the USA rerun at number 9 for the week. Project Runway makes an appearance this week, along with the usual suspects Spongebob, iCarly, wrestling, and election coverage.

The headline for the Nielsen cable ratings this week is "Odd Baby Beats Up Wrestling Stars." Nickelodeon's new Fairly Odd Baby movie (from the Fairly Odd Parents series) got the #1 slot this week, as well as the #9 slot. The debate is Texas got the second slot, while the Anderson Cooper 360 analysis of the debate came in third.

Wait a second...what is this "basketball" that has suddenly invaded the top spots in the weekly Nielsen cable ratings? It knocked Monday Night RAW out of the top spots, and those wrestlers can't be too happy about that. But they still got the 5th and 7th slots, with USA's Psych in between. Both Psych and Monk have been doing well in the ratings this season.
And SpongeBob? Well, there's really no stopping him.

A real mix of stuff this week: wrestling, the election cartoons, legal dramas, and a teen sitcom. CNN got three of the top ten spots for its election coverage on Super Tuesday (the different entries represent different times during the night). FOX News got one of the spots too. Not sure why MSNBC didn't get into the top ten, but I guess there's not enough room when the same coverage by CNN takes up three of the slots.
Oh, and Chicken Little got into the top ten too.

Now this is a varied ratings list. Sure, we have Monday Night RAW in there just like every week, but thrown into the mix are politics (the Democratic Debate from CA, the State of the Union and analysis), Law and Order, a movie on Disney, an episode of Monk, and not one but two - two! - episodes of Anderson Cooper 360. The episodes were helped by the fact that they followed the Democratic Debate - one is from 9:52 p.m. on Thursday and the other from 10 p.m. the same night. Eight minutes later. Crazy ratings.

I think I speak for most readers here when I ask...what the hell is Minutemen? Did Disney make some historical movie? Actually, checking online I see that it's a "adventure-comedy-sci-fi" movie. It got the number one slot this week, as well as the number ten slot. Zoey 101 got the second and third slots, probably because people were tuning in to see "hey, is she pregnant yet??"
1. Minutemen (Disney)

This is the second week in a row that Monk gets the number one slot in the cable ratings, and Psych is in the top ten for another week too. That combined with yet another strong showing from Monday Night RAW (both hours) and USA must be a happy network. High School Musical makes it into the top ten yet again, which is pretty good considering it has already been shown, what, 20 or 30 times? No Hannah Montana this week though.
1. Monk (USA)

No, those aren't typos you see, the USA Network one-two punch of Monk and Psych did indeed soar into the two top spots for the week (Monday Night Football is gone for the season). And USA didn't stop there: they got the next two spots two, with both hours of Monday Night RAW.
But what's that in the number ten spot, politics?? How did that get in there?
1. Monk (USA)
2. Psych (USA)
