Here are the new TV DVDs, in stores tomorrow.Wow, I didn't even realize that season six of
Kate and Allie was being released this week (Canada only). Reminds me that I haven't bought season five yet. I think I was waiting for it to be released in the U.S., but now Amazon doesn't have any copies, so I'll guess I'll get them both this week at the same time.
Not sure what's up with the Elvis
Ed Sullivan Show DVD. There was a very similar DVD set released a few years ago, so maybe this is a re-release or a re-master?
- The Adventures of Black Beauty - Series 2
- Daffy Duck's Quackbusters
- The Ed Sullivan Show - Elvis Presley

I'm not sure if
Green Hornet fans are looking forward to the new big-screen movie based on the 60s TV show that starred Van Williams and Bruce Lee. First they grimaced when they found out that Seth Rogen was not only writing the movie but would also play The Green Hornet (even if he has slimmed down), and now comes word that
Nicolas Cage might play the villain.
Is this a good or a bad thing? Cage can be uniquely awesome in some roles but alienating in other roles.

Here are the new TV DVDs, in stores tomorrow. If you blinked last year, you probably missed NBC's
Crusoe. It's now on DVD, and it's one of those "season one" sets that also serves as a "complete series" sets.
If you're an
October Road fan, the season two set contains a 10 minute bonus episode that acts as the series-ender. It would be great if more shows did that when they're canceled.
- The Adventures of Black Beauty - Series 1
- Bleak House - Special Edition and Blu-ray
- Boston Legal - Season 5
- Crusoe - Complete Series
- Dexter - Season 2 (Blu-ray)
- Doctor Who - E-Space Trilogy and Battlefield
- Earth: Final Conflict - Season 1

The fluff-stuffed bear of very little brain is not only popular here in the United States, having recently received a star on the
Walk of Fame, but he also topped a recent poll in the UK of favorite animal characters, beating out other bears like Paddington and Baloo from
The Jungle Book. Winnie the Pooh received fifty-one percent of the votes through a poll of 1,191 adults, with the daft but lovable Paddington Bear coming in second with forty-one percent of the vote, and Baloo coming in at third. Other animals such as Peter Rabbit, Black Beauty, and Toad from
The Wind in the Willows also finished in top spots. Rather interesting that all of these were originally literary characters before being re-imagined into TV and movie characters.
