Rosie O'Donnell recently revealed that she has suffered from depression since 1997. She did so on a "special episode" of
The View yesterday that was dedicated to women and depression. To combat it, Rosie hangs upside down on a yoga swing for 15-30 minutes every day. She also takes antidepressants and practices regular (not upside down) yoga.
While it's noble of her to talk about depression-- a disease which still has a negative stigma-- the swinging upside down is just plain funny to watch.

Lots of Anna Nicole Smith news today. Less than a day after Howard K. Stern
revealed that he is the father of Smith's new daughter comes word that her 20-year-old son Daniel died from a lethal combination of methadone and two antidipressants.
Cyril Wecht, who was hired by Smith and Stern to do a private autopsy on Daniel, said that toxicology tests revealed that methadone, Zoloft, and Lexapro were in Smith's system when he died on Sept. 10, two days after half-sister Dannie was born.
The article makes a point to say that methadone is used to treat heroin addictions. But it is also used as a perscription pain killer that, if it is prescribed or taken incorrectly, can easily kill someone, as
20/20 reported last Friday.
"The fact that we have these drugs and the levels of the drugs overwhelmingly and most logically point to this being a tragic, accidental, drug-related death," Wecht told the AP. There are many questions left to answer, of course, but at least
what killed the poor kid has been answered.
