The video at the end of this post has a lot of swearing, so if that's not your thang, watch this instead.
We all know that Judd Apatow (Freaks and Geeks, Undeclared, Forty Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up) is a man who can do no wrong and who deserves our respect, adulation and fawning worship. However, no one has ever expressed his love for the man quite like Andy Milonakis (The Andy Milonakis Show).

Did you know that online video is popular? It's true! Everybody's doing it. Well, I doubt Bea Arthur is doing online video, but still...
Today, MyDamnChannel.com launched. It's a new online video channel put together by some big celebs, including Harry Shearer (The Simpsons), David Wain (Stella, the new movie The Ten), and music producer Don Was. It was created by former CBS Radio and MTV exec Rob Barnett.
As with any new launch, the content is hit or miss, but there's a surprising number of videos here, including several from Shearer and Wain and a couple from web video icon Andy Milonakis. You need Flash 9 to view the videos.

I'm not always floored by what springs from the mind of Andy Milonakis, who, according to TMZ, recently gave a homeless guy a buck, but I like that he does his own thing and stays true to himself.
Before I joined the TV Squadders and before he had his show on MTV2 (The Andy Milonakis Show), I did a phone interview with the youthful-looking Milonakis (he's 31 now) about the Web videos he had been making that had caught the eye of Jimmy Kimmel and led to his deal at MTV. Back then, his humor didn't always hit, but when it did, I found it hilarious. And, even when it landed with a thud, I had to admire him for trying something different. Also, Andy and I are the same age and both seem to have a penchant for the absurd, so I was pretty much tuned in to his wavelength from the beginning.

I've said before I'm kind of an intermittent fan of the Andy Milonakis Show, but after seeing the season three premiere in which Andy first arrives in Los Angeles, I have to say that the show has improved greatly. If you hated Andy before, you'll probably still hate him, since his brand of humor isn't for everyone, but I was pleasantly surprised at how much more fully realized the show now seems. The first season had some very funny moments, but it seemed to lack focus, as if it wasn't sure what it was trying to be. I think both Andy and his show have finally found themselves, and Milonakis may have figured out a way to turn his penchant for oddball non sequiturs and general nonsense into real, honest to goodness comedy. Our little weirdo has finally become a butterfly, with peanut butter on his hands ("peanut butter slap")!
The six season three episodes are available on iTunes and will also be made available on MTV2.com and MTV.com.

Okay, MTV2, you've decided to bring back
The Andy Milonakis Show for a third season. That just leaves me with one question: are you also going to bring back
Wonder Showzen? Because if you don't bring back
Wonder Showzen, I will have no choice but to -- well, I guess I can't really do anything, but I'll be really, really sad and I may misdirect my anger and frustration and beat a squirrel with a tennis racket. Do you really want that on your conscience? Sorry, I'm getting off the subject, aren't I? Anyway,
The Andy Milonakis Show is in fact returning with six new episodes in 2007. Fans should rejoice, and non-fans should, I don't know, go make themselves a sandwich or something. I'm kind of a non-committal, intermittent fan of the show. Out of all the shows on television, this is probably the one I'm the most wishy-washy about.

The Andy Milonakis Show is currently in its second season on MTV2, but
a lot of us knew about Andy before he was on television, when he used to create little skits on his Web cam and ad
lib his own rap songs over on the
Angry Naked Pat site. When I spoke to Andy a
few years ago he said he was interested in making an
album of comedy rap songs, and it looks
like the first song has been "leaked" (but not really) and you can hear it by clicking
here. It's called "Me No Like Hollywood
Douche Bags," and Andy uses the song to state with great clarity his dislike of douche bags from
Hollywood. I assume douche bags from Sacramento are okay, though. The song is mildly amusing
until he seems to run out of ideas and just starts saying "suck my ***k" a lot. I think this could be
turned into a funny video, but as an audio file only it's a bit of a let down, even if I do agree with the
sentiment.

It looks like MTV2 gets it.
YouTube, the
popular video download site that has been embraced by Web users and scorned by some in the television industry, has
signed its first formal deal with MTV2. The network has already began to toss up clips on the site for
The Andy Milonakis Show and Wonder Showzen. There are
still plenty of clips on YouTube that violate copyright, despite the efforts of networks like NBC and CBS to have clips
taken down. Here's hoping the site forges more partnerships like this one and other networks start to understand what a
great method of promotion this can be.

Andy Milonakis fans can now rejoice, and those who loathe him
can... not rejoice, I guess. The Andy Milonakis Show is coming back to MTV2 for a second season, so we can
expect to see more crazy hijinks, angry people on the street, and whatever surreal nonsense Andy can come up with. The
new season will kick off on March 31 as part of MTV2's "Sic 'Em Friday" lineup. The new season will
correspond with the DVD release of the first
season.

The Best:1.
My Name is Earl: I didn't think this was going to be any good when I
first saw the commercials because it looked like another stupid sitcom about -- whoo-hoo -- rednecks. Jason Lee's a
cool cat, though, so I tuned in for one episode... Boy, am I glad I saw it! Although Lee doesn't disappoint, Jaime
Pressly's performance is absolutely hysterical and often steals the show. Definitely one of my favorite programs of the
year.
2.
The Daily Show: I've loved it. Sill love it.
3.
The Colbert Report: I
was a little worried about this show in the beginning, but quickly grew to love it. Stephen Colbert's got a good thing
going on right now and I'm definitely looking forward to more.
4.
Lost: I love it when a show/film
has a strong ensemble cast. That plus deep, conflicted backstory and tremendous writing is must-see TV for me.
5.
Project Runway: Okay, they're only a few episodes in, but Project Runway never fails to deliver. Classiest
reality show, hands-down.

Either you love him or you want to set him on fire and back over his head with a tractor, but
you can't not have an opinion about Andy Milonakis. I count myself as one of the those who enjoyed
The Andy
Milonakis Show, though I hasten to add that while I found some of the sketches to be hilarious, it was by no means
flawless. Milonakis has a natural comedic talent, but I think being able to tell the difference between "ad
libbing" and "just saying random things" would help his comedy tremendously. At any rate,
TV Shows on DVD reported earlier last month that the
first season of Andy's show will come out on DVD in March. It's amusement and annoyance in convenient disc form.
