During tonight's long-awaited new episode of Heroes, NBC will launch TV 360 on NBC.com. It's the most extensive online companion that NBC has produced for any show. Viewers who sign up for Heroes 360 will get mobile content, access to a WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) site that one of the characters gives them access to, a phone number to Primatech Paper Company, and there will be original videos such as cast commentary. NBC execs tout it as "the most developed TV 360 application we've created for a scripted series, and the first to use this level of interactivity," according to Jeff Gaspin, NBC-U cable entertainment president. And of course there will be a lot of ads for Nissan.

After the big disappointment that was The Lost Experience, it's hard to get excited about online companions to television shows. Will you give this one a try? What do you actually expect to get out of it?
