Lost Easter egg hunt: Tricia Tanaka is Dead

Jorge Garcia as HurleyHurley flashback episodes are always full of Easter eggs, and "Tricia Tanaka is Dead" was no exception. Here's a rundown of the eggs that viewers have found in the last week.

Brand names: Many fans noticed the DHARMA logo on the VW bus, another addition to the DHARMA brand (food, beer, etc.). During one of Hurley's flashback scenes, young Hurley's father gives him a Glacier Bar before leaving for Vegas. Is this another polar bear connection? In Season One, Hurley boarded Oceanic 815 with a comic book that contained a polar bear image.

Lost audio podcast recap: March 5, 2007

Daniel Dae Kim and Josh HollowayABC's newest Lost audio podcast is full of entertaining and useful behind-the-scenes information. Cast members Josh Holloway, Daniel Dae Kim, and Jorge Garcia discuss their experiences filming the "Tricia Tanaka is Dead" episode. A short interview with Paul Terry, editor of Lost: The Official Magazine, is also featured. Finally, the podcast includes a brief clip of the upcoming episode titled "Enter 77."

  • In the cast interview, Jorge Garcia mentions that the dog trainers had trouble getting Madison (Vincent the Dog) to hold the corpse's arm in her mouth the same way on each take. The arm was even sent home with Madison so she could get comfortable carrying it around.

Lost death pool update: Week four

Dominic Monaghan as CharlieIn keeping with the light nature of the Hurley flashbacks, no characters died in "Tricia Tanaka is Dead" (except for Tricia Tanaka, of course). Her bizarre death would have been worth a lot of points, actually! This means that Week One's leader board still stands. After hearing about the upcoming Charlie flashback, however, keep looking for a possible Charlie death.

The following people remain in first place with 21 points: Alex, Andrew, April, bbf203, Brody, Chris Wyant, Craig, darciedyan, Diana, Don, Dustin, Gina, Gregory Capobianco, Holli, Hubba, jks, John S., Kat, Kenneth Chong, Kris Clark, Kristi Parry, Lauren, mgamark, michou2880, Morgan, nandy, PlusDrew, Priscilla, RedStarRevolution, Sam, Stephanie, Thomas Cushard, Tracy, ts, TuckerKatt, and TVblogger.

Good luck this week!

Lost: Tricia Tanaka is Dead

Tricia Tanaka is Dead

(S03E10) I am a bit torn about this episode. "Tricia Tanaka is Dead" was entertaining, to be sure, but nothing new was learned from a viewer's standpoint. To a degree, a largely expository episode to catch the beach survivors up on recent events was a necessary evil. No significant ground was covered, but all of the characters are now in a position to take action. Hopefully the slow-moving events in this episode are building up to some serious resolution.

Another canine cast member for Lost

Hurley and Vincent, LostVincent the Dog had better not run afoul of the law anytime soon, because another dog has been added to the Lost cast. Lulu, an Airedale terrier mix, is an adopted pet of Jack Bender, an executive producer and director on the show. The dog, who was adopted locally from the Hawaiian Humane Society, has quickly become regarded as the show's mascot due to her frequent visits to the set.

Lulu's addition to the Lost cast came about through a technicality. Since animals are not normally allowed on set, Bender "cast" Lulu in an upcoming episode so she could come to work with him. Bender did not reveal the episode in which Lulu will make her acting debut. Vincent, however, will be seen in this week's 'Tricia Tanaka Is Dead.' Rumor has it that Vincent will reappear on the beach with an unusual surprise for Hurley.

Evangeline Lilly as Kate AustenIn case you missed it, ABC has posted a video of Evangeline Lilly's recent appearance on Good Morning America. The actress presented a brief clip from "Tricia Tanaka Is Dead," and gave her two cents on the love triangle. Here are the highlights:

Lost producers divulge Season Three details

Jorge Garcia as HurleyLost co-executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis are spilling the beans about Season Three, or least hinting at what's to come. Horowitz and Kitsis co-wrote the upcoming Hurley-centric episode "Tricia Tanaka is Dead," along with several other Hurley flashback episodes.

Fans can expect this new episode to be relatively lighter than the intense Other storylines. The writers are also encouraging viewers to pay special attention to the last few minutes of the episode, a bold promise after last week's misleading ABC promos. According to Horowitz and Kitsis, the episode's events have been in the works for a long time.
