(S04E02) "Hey now, hey now. Don't dream it's over." Alison Dubois & Neil Finn
So I'm guessing many of you immediately tuned out when this episode started with what appeared to be the aftermath of a horrible car crash. After last week's shocking image of a dead child in a box, you must have been relieved to receive some warning that a startling and disturbing image was on the horizon. Well, since you changed channels, let me bring you up to speed. The driver was Allsion's daughter, Ariel. You can, at least be thankful that you missed the required "What are we going to do now?" conversation that Allison and Joe have every episode.
I am less than impressed with Anjelica Huston. Why such an interesting, charismatic actress would pick such a bland character to play is a mystery to me. I'm hoping she reveals some more of herself real soon.

When
Lost premiered, fans didn't have to decide who they liked best between the plane survivors and the Others as when the latter were first mentioned, it was clear they were the bad guys. Things got confirmed when Ethan was found out and when we witnessed the boat scene at the end of the Season 1 finale.
Have things changed since then? Do we still think the famous Others are so bad? When new episodes air, do we pray to see more scenes in Othersville or at the beach? Do we root for Juliet or Kate to get Jack? That may be another issue, but it's sill a plane survivor versus an Other.

Tonight's episode of
Lost focuses on Sayid's past, beginning in a flashback with Sayid being captured
by Americans during the Gulf War. I have to say from the previews, I was expecting a lot out of this episode, and
unfortunately, in comparison to all the other recent episodes, I was sorely let down. There was no mention of Sawyer's
coup from the last episode. No concern over his stockpile of guns. That entire story line was virtually dropped and we
were left with a comic relief subplot featuring Hurley and Sawyer as if they were in some weird buddy cop movie,
trekking through the woods of the island in search of a tree frog that had been keeping Sawyer awake at night. What's
the deal with Sawyer and animals? In the first season, he chases down that baby boar who steals his tarp and in this
episode he's pulling the same, "I'm going to track it down and kill it...

I don't know, but it looks like Sayid has a couple
of ideas in mind, and none of them look too nice. Make sure you
check back here at TV Squad at 8:00pm EST tonight, and
that's when we will unveil the hidden location for the chat. Sayid is working it over at the moment, trying to find out
where it is, but it just won't crack. In the meantime, make sure that you have
AIM or
a compatible instant messenging system (GAIM, Trillian, etc) installed. I'll be in the room under the id TVSRyan and a
couple other of the TV Squadders will probably stop by, so look for us. Will this week's episode be as
"dividing" as last week's? I don't know, but come join us tonight and we'll find out together.
