The second episode of
America's Got Talent auditions brought more great acts and more terrible performances. This week, we were treated to 15 complete acts that ranged from singing to magic (see picture) not forgetting impersonators and Drumtazia! Oh, and, unless I'm mistaken, we also saw the judges give 3 Xs to someone who finished in 4th place in another talent competition! More on that at the end of my review.

- On a new Challenge, cooks try to make the ultimate Simpsons cake. It's on Food Network at 9.
- At 10, PBS has a new American Masters.
- FX has a new Rescue Me at 10.
- Discovery has two new eps of Cash Cab starting at 10.
- Also at 10: HBO repeats Bill Maher's live special from last weekend.

The other day I auditioned for a new reality show. I can't tell you the name of the show but I will tell you the premise.
It's a competition a la American Idol, except the talent in this competition is impersonation. You might say the producers aren't looking for real celebrities but instead are looking for "the next best thing."
Now when I first heard about the show, I assumed it was all about impressions. I couldn't have been more wrong.
