An element from ABC's alternate reality game
The Lost Experience turned up in last week's episode
"D.O.C." While the game officially ended in 2006, fans have continued to look for clues within the actual show. Their
efforts were rewarded last Wednesday during one of Sun's flashback scenes. When Sun visited her father in his office, a logo for Paik Heavy Industries was visible.
Paik Heavy Industries was mentioned in several
Lost Experience clues, but was not directly linked to Sun's father at the time. Now it's clear that the company, which has connections to the Hanso Foundation and the Widmore Corporation, is owned by Mr. Paik. The game's central character, Rachel Blake, discovered that Paik Heavy Industries built a ship for the Hanso Foundation. The
Helgus Antonius is a medical/container ship that has numerous quarantine wards.
So far it seems like these connections are merely intended as fun Easter eggs for fans who took part in the interactive game. However, it's possible that more of these clues will be integrated into the show's plot. How much
Lost Experience content should the writers connect to actual
Lost episodes? Will these clues make a difference to viewers who did not participate in the game?

More than a few Lost fans spent the summer of 2006 playing and interpreting The Lost Experience, ABC's alternate reality game. The Tailsection recently interviewed Jamie Silberhartz, the actress who played Rachel Blake in the game. Silberhartz's character was a central figure in The Lost Experience, and was ultimately revealed to be Alvar Hanso's daughter. The actress talked about playing the role of Rachel, as well as her post-Lost career. Here are the highlights:
- Silberhartz always knew that her character, Persephone, would become Rachel Blake, and that Rachel was Hanso's daughter.
- The actress had to go through three auditions before she landed the role.

Very good article over at BuddyTV. Someone finally took the time to sit down and explain this entire "Lost Experience" online game that's been going on all summer long. Well it's officially over and based on everything I've read and the little effort I put into "playing along", the general consensus seems to be that the whole entire thing sucked big time.
There were all those video clips from the Hanso Exposed website, that book Bad Twin, plus there was cell phone content too... right? I'm sure I'm missing other aspects. Too much to keep up with if you ask me but if you didn't have the time to stay current (did anyone?), that link above gives a decent synopsis of the whole thing including the meaning behind the numbers. It's all pretty disappointing and seems to lack the creativity that drives the show. Fortunately, it's completely separate from the series and now that it's concluded we can just forget that the "Lost Experience" ever existed. The third season of Lost premieres on October 4.

If you feel like wasting some time at work today, might want to check out this Lost link. It brings you to an image of the island, and with some careful studying, you can pull out some hidden images. Once you crack all eight, you get treated to a deleted scene from early in season two. I'm assuming this is part of that whole Lost Experience thing that's been going on.
Of course, if you're lazy, I've listed the eight passwords after the jump along with a description of the deleted scene.

Oh God, as if the TV show wasn't maddening
enough, now the people behind
Lost are about to launch a big
interactive
web game to keep us entertained when the show is gone through the summer (and, well, every other week during the TV
season, it seems).
Not many details yet, except that it will be called "The
Lost
Experience" and will feature a storyline that's not on the show. It launches May 2 in the UK and May 3 in the US.
Not sure how something "launches" two different days on the web, but it sounds like fun, because clues will
vary by continent.
So who's gonna play?
