(S08E04) This was the better of the two episodes tonight, for a couple of reasons. One, we figured out why Kelso continues to hang out at Sacred Heart, and it's not for the free muffins at Coffee Bucks. But mostly, it's because we had a J.D. / Elliot relationship episode that was actually treated with subtlety and maturity.
This is a relationship that's been as maddening as any that's been on TV, mainly because of all the artificial blockades Bill Lawrence and his writers kept throwing in their way. Lawrence himself told me and others that he never wanted the relationship to become a focal point of the show. But by constantly trying to get away from it they did the exact opposite, giving the 'shippers as much to talk about as those that just liked the comedy and the stories about the hospital.
What I'm saying is: if J.D. and Elliot had the conversation they had tonight sometime during season three, all of that crap would have been avoided.
What would Christmas be without a new video from Derrick and Will (Taran Killam and Paul Campbell) of the pilot-turned web sensation-turned television show (one day) Nobody's Watching. This time around Derrick gets a haircut. But not any haircut. No, this cut is in the style of a favorite sitcom character, chosen by visitors at the guys' official website.
The character chosen? I'll give you a hint: Ha! I kill me! Okay, that may be a bit obscure. The favorite sitcom character chosen was Alf, who had a hit show back in the late 1980's. Derrick not only gets his hair cut in the style of Alf, but he hair that is cut gets pasted on his eyebrows to give him that fluffy, alien puppet look.
Anyway, you can see the haircut in all of its glory after the jump.
When are these guys going to get their own show? Yes, Taran Killam and Paul Campbell, the stars of the pilot-turned web sensation-turned television show Nobody's Watching have surfaced once again. This time around they appeared on Thursday night's airing of Scrubs, which was created by Bill Lawrence, who happened to produce the pilot-turned web sensation-turned television show Nobody's Watching.
However, if you blinked you may have missed them. So, we've provided a screenshot just to show you where they appeared. They are standing right behind J.D. and Kim in the scene right before those two wacky kids jumped into the supply closet to see if they were sexually compatible. Um, I'm talking about J.D. and Kim, not Taran and Paul. Although, that would be an interesting twist to Nobody's Watching.
We've got an exclusive new video from the guys of Nobody's Watching for you, hot off the presses. Well, hot off the camera. Or video recorder. Or whatever.
This time Will and Derrick are giving us a 90 second look at a full ten seasons of Friends; who needs that big honkin' box set?
First we gave you the preview, now here's the real thing. Derrick and Will of Nobody's Watching put all other Lost fans to shame in their latest video below. Can you spot the special guest they were able to score? If you guessed Jorge Garcia, I feel sorry for you.
The stars from Nobody's Watching, the pilot, turned YouTube posting, turned NBC show, are back. This time around they spoof one of the staples of the ever-growing video posting site.
If you were ever a visitor to YouTube you have probably seen one of the seven thousand videos that show what happens when you add Mentos to a bottle of Diet Coke. Not to spoil the surprise, but you get a Diet Coke fountain (don't ask me the science behind it. I did poorly in Chemistry; hence the reason I'm a writer.). Well, Taran Killam and Paul Campbell, the stars of Nobody's Watching, have taken it a few steps further and experimented with other combinations of food added to beverages. For instance, mixing Sweettarts with Sprite produces a baby chicken. Go figure. And, when they mix something like a Mike & Ike (the actual name of the candy escapes me) with a carton of milk they get transported to a leather bar. Wow, I probably don't want to try that experiment!
The best combination they work with is the first one where they add a candy corn to a one-liter bottle of root beer. I don't want to ruin the results because they are a bit surprising. You can watch all of the experiments after the jump.
