I'm not really sure where to begin, but I think this is a pretty good starting point: holy crap. Just like every season finale before this one, Lost has once again left us all with our jaws on the floor and our brains on overdrive. This changes everything. The big question? How does it change everything? Is it January yet?

(S05E16) "Let me tell you what I don't like about yourself." - Raj
Eh... not so much. It's not that "Gene Shelly" was a bad episode, it was just awfully predictable for the whole hour. Every time something new happened, the result was painfully obvious. It took away the impact from a few things that otherwise, should have been pretty powerful moments. The one highlight? Dr. Puresh. Everything that kid says is comic gold.

(S05E16) Well this was a refreshing episode. Normally when CSI: Miami has an episode with two or more cases going on at once, it often feels forced. Not so this time around. It was a genuinely well laid out story with some great twists. To be perfectly honest, I don't think it even felt like an episode of CSI: Miami. It lacked its trademark cheesiness and the case was on the level of something I would expect to see on the Vegas original.
That's not a bad thing though. I'd love to continue seeing more episodes on this level. Then maybe everyone (myself included) would stop ragging on the show for its campy soap opera-ish feel.
