(S04E05) Originally aired on July 18th, 2004 -- Arguably the best episode in Six Feet Under's five season run (ignoring the stellar finale of course), "That's My Dog" is a seminal installment for Michael C. Hall's David Fisher. A culmination of David's fears, inadequacies, and worries all collide at the same time as he faces death at the hands of a sadistic crack addict named Jake who takes him on a joy ride to get high. The events change David for good as he develops crippling attacks of paranoia that stay with him until he tackles his demons near the end of season five. You can't have a discussion about Six Feet Under without bringing up this episode.

Grey's Anatomy: Haunt You Every Day

Elizabeth Reaser as Ava/Rebecca on Grey's Anatomy.
(S04E05) "Get it? He's trick-or-treating. For ears."- Meredith

She's baaaack! Ugh... before I even get to you know who, let me just say a thing or two about theme episodes. I hate 'em. Halloween. Christmas. National Bologna Day. I don't care what's being celebrated. I hate that simply because of the season, good shows are forced to come up with ridiculous episodes that too often suck. That being said, this one wasn't so bad. It was far less Halloween-y than the previews led us to believe.

Rescue Me: Balance

Rescue Me - S04E06 - Balance

(S04E06) "The hunt begins." - Lou

There's been a lot of talk about how this season of Rescue Me hasn't been that good. People have been disappointed with the lack of continuous plot, the way Tommy has evolved, and lousy way they got rid of Jerry. It's not that I disagree with everyone out there, but I've still loved every episode this season. The show has reached a point where it's starting to evolve. Episodes have much more hidden meaning, there's less of a connection with on-going plots, and often times the ending of an episode doesn't exactly feel like an ending. It feels less like a show and more like a look into the actual life of Tommy Gavin. I agree that it's been tough to watch at times, but I do feel like the show is becoming richer in many other ways.

Rescue Me: Black

Rescue Me: Black (S04E05)

(S04E05) "Wow... looks like the bottom of my Dustbuster." - Sean

Well there you go. Leary and Tolan still have plenty hidden up their sleeves. After last week's extremely sub-par episode, we came back with this one. That was one hell of an opening, huh? From Janet forgetting the baby in the parking lot to the tractor-trailer truck bowling right into it... just another Tommy Gavin nightmare. If anything though, this is just his way of manifesting his very real concerns for the safety of this still unnamed baby. Tommy has been sober for some time and it doesn't take a genius to see that Janet is going downhill fast. Is his new option really worth pursuing though?

Entourage: The Dream Team

Eric, Vince, and Billy

(S04E05) "Yo, pretty dope lid you're sportin' there hombre. Where'd you get it?" - Drama

Doug Ellin and Co. does it again. I think Entourage is finally returning to the level of quality we had been use to. Granted I've been enjoying this season right along, but this episode was spectacular from all accounts. It just flowed very smoothly, had some classic Ari and Drama lines, had E get in a fight, and even guest-starred the very funny Bob Balaban. Sounds like a winner to me.

The OC: The Sleeping Beauty

Taylor needs Seth's help.(S04E05) Thus far this season has been great. So I went into this episode with high hopes, and don't get me wrong -- I liked it a lot. But it was just sort of so-so, right? Nothing too mind blowing happened, save for Summer's predicament, but even that was just kind of weird.

Everything that went on was just a little too obvious. Taylor falling for Ryan? We all knew it was coming. Of course, I support it though. She's better looking than Marissa, smarter, has less emotional baggage, and best of all? She's not a raging alcoholic. So yeah, I'm all for that and I hope it works out. But taking the entire episode to get to what we all knew was coming (the kiss) was just a waste of time if you ask me. It was cute I suppose. The Chinese tea didn't get Ryan to finally overcome his insomnia. Taylor did. Awww....

Nip/Tuck: Dawn Budge

Julian McMahon and Rosie O'Donnell

(S04E05) Jeez, kind of a slow episode but the final few minutes made up for it. We'll get to that later though. Let's talk about Rosie O'Donnell first. She was great! I had such low expectations for her role as a white-trash lottery winner. Rosie even showed a clip on The View a day or two ago and it didn't look all that good. I don't know, maybe it's just because she's everywhere right now. Regardless, she was hilarious as Dawn Budge and easily makes the list of great McNamara/Troy patients. Right up there there with Mrs. Grubman and Momma Boone.
