(S02E03) "So you're setting me up on a blind date with a potential murderer?" - Torres
When I first heard about Lightman's Mexican holiday via Shawn Ryan's Twitter account, I had pretty high hopes for it because as he suggested, it should be a "fun one." I assumed it would just be Cal and Emily having a grand ol' time, making fun of cabana boys when they lied about being out of pineapple juice or dark rum. There was some of that, but Cal, who always needs something to do, ending up getting embroiled in a fairly interesting case. The problem? The case that Gillian and the rest of the team got caught up in was far more intriguing and Cal wasn't there to take part of in any of it. Well... sort of.

As one of the few hits that's currently keeping HBO afloat,
Entourage is still only a modest success - it's
recent fifth season premiere hit a
three-year low. Despite the lackluster ratings,
HBO still gave the greenlight to a sixth season much earlier than expected... because, well, they don't have much else going on right now.
That being said, I'm a huge fan of the show and have been since it began. Yes, I'm one of the few that actually tuned in for the mostly ignored eight episode freshman season. I honestly don't see HBO pulling the plug without a true series finale at this stage in the series, but weirder things have happened and I want season six to roar back. So if you watch the show, great - glad to know you weren't part of that "three-year low" I mentioned. But if you used to watch
Entourage, or never have, then this will be good for ya - the only six episodes you need to watch to know just what the heck is going on in the world of Vincent Chase.

(S02E03) "Alright, I'll ice up a nipple and start chatting." - Willa
Well that episode was out there. It brought back some old faces, introduced a few new ones, and split off into two wildly different tangents. On one side we saw a new side of Lucy as she aimed to bring down a past Dirt Now target while at the same time we saw Don placed in a situation that would have bee much more amusing had he stopped taking his medication.

(S02E03) Speechless. When the idea of television was first conceived, I don't think it was ever expected that it could feel this satisfying. Sleeper Cell is some of the best stuff out there, ranking with only a few other shows currently on and this, the thirteenth episode of the series, may well have been the best one yet. The simplicity of the episode title, "Torture," doesn't begin to describe the pains our characters went through.

(
S02E03) This episode worries me. After a really strong start to this season, I thought this was kind of a drop down. However, the same thing happened when
Grey's Anatomy first premiered and we all know that show bounced back. The reason I make that comparison is because
Grey's isn't solely about Meredith anymore and
What About Brian is shaping up to be more than just Brian now. But that makes sense I suppose. To work in the long-term (and I hope
What About Brian will), a show needs to have multiple story-lines with multiple characters. Brian is still going to be the focus of this show but it looks like we're going to start getting a ton more info on everyone else. This week was a whole lot of Dave.

(
S02E03) Numerous times when I've written about this show in the past I've stated that it's nothing special. It's just consistently good (I love it for that reason) and this episode was a prime example. The story wasn't all that intricate and most people with half a wit of sense probably figured out what the big twist was about ten minutes before it was revealed. I thought about that for a second though.
Tons of episodes in the first season of
Criminal Minds followed a similar formula. Well not really a formula, but a loose storyline with a predictable twist that just about anybody can deduce. But do you change the channel after you crack it? No! You still watch the last ten or fifteen minutes to get that satisfaction of being right. That's what
Criminal Minds is. It's the ultimate "HA! I knew it!" show.

(S02E03/S02E04) If I had to guess, this show probably offends a lot of people. I think it offends me a little which is probably why I like it so much. So let's dive right in. I will say that I like this two episodes in a row thing but I'm pretty sure it slips back to just one episode next week. Anyway, the first episode was a little misleading. Dennis and Dee didn't actually go on welfare. They tried and ended up becoming crack-heads. Hence they're sunken eyes and saddened faces in the above picture. I believe the saying goes, "crack is whack." Ahh, if only they had known.
