Bethenny is two months along and claims she would have preferred keeping the baby news quiet until she'd gotten through her first trimester. It's understandable because it's her first baby and some people are superstitious about saying anything too soon.
Bethenny Frankel of The Real Housewives of New York City has been rumored to be spinning off into her own show for a while. She'll be appearing on the upcoming season of Real Housewives -- they're already filming in NYC -- but then she'll have her own program after that. It will be about her social life in NYC as well as her career as a natural foods chef. Bethenny has lots of personality and should do well on her own.
You can breath a sigh of relief now. Each and every one of The Real Housewives of New York City are coming back for Season 3. There, don't you feel better? After speculation that Bethenny was going off to do her own show and a rumor that Kelly wasn't invited back, Bravo has wrangled Jill Zarin, Ramona Singer, Alex McCord, Kelly Killoren Bensimon and Countess LuAnn de Lesseps for another installment of the Real Housewives.

If you were to summarize any of the Real Housewives shows, it would be "stupid people doing stupid things for stupid reasons." Is there ever anyone on these shows that you actually like? If you haven't watched The Real Housewives of New York City, then you're missing ... well, a lot of really annoying women doing stuff. But you are also missing out on some great wisdom. In the clip below from last night (also at the link above), Kelly explains to her friends her philosophy about going on a date, which apparently includes not eating salad and using the word "like." A lot. Try to keep track of how many times she uses it.
I believe that if everyone would stop using that word so much they would seem 94% more intelligent.
Well, ain't that a kick in the head? The Real Wives of New York has one less wife on the roster, so it seems. Luann deLesseps has been dumped. The Countess deLesseps -- as she prefers to be called – and her rarely seen Count of a hubby, Alex, have apparently broken up.
While I take no joy in anybody's marriage breaking up, this news is especially ironic in light of this season of Bravo's Real Wives of New York City. Not only has Luann been particularly overconfident about the right way to do things, but she was also prickly as a pear when another wife, Ramona Singer, observed that the Count was twice as old as Luann. The Countess went off like a firecracker when she heard that, and she was not forgiving of Ramona when she offered an apology.
Now, listen, I've watched the first two series; I admit that they are addictive. And they're convenient because Bravo re-airs them again and again, but come on! This is like Coffee-Mate coming up with all these flavored creamers. Do we really need so many creamers?
Bethenny Frankel has been busy making news. First, she was feuding with the other women on The Real Housewives of New York City. Then, she was replaced on Real Housewives by Sonja Morgan because Bethenny is getting her own Bravo show. Last week, she announced her engagement to Jason Hoppy. Today, Bethenny's confirmed that she's pregnant... and yes, Jason is the father.
Three stars have been born on Bravo! Well, at least three personalities from successful reality shows.
