(S08E13) Tonight started the Pro Dancing Competition. After finding the list of the professionals, I can't help but notice a degree of nepotism. Having Alec's brother and Ashly's sister competing is somewhat unfair. Having Derek, Julianne, Mark, and Corky is enough of a family of dancers. I'm now just waiting for Lacey's brother Benji, or their cousin Heidi to show up. At least it's up to America to allow nepotism.
On the other hand: Snow! Yay, double standards! I'm okay with
So You Think You Can Dance alumni; they danced their asses off to be part of the competition. More Pro Dancing Competition as well as the rest of the show after the jump.

(S03E15B) "I can promise you some major shocks." - JerryShocks? What shocks?
America's Got Talent's Top 5 is actually what the TV Squad readers and myself predicted after watching the
Top 10 performances. Who made the cut and what I thought of Natasha Bedingfield's performance coming up!

Katharine McPhee and Jordin Sparks will be performing at this year's
Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular. The Idol alums will be joined by country music sensation Kenny Chesney and British chart-topper Natasha Bedingfield. McPhee, who is currently working with David Foster on her second album, will perform "Save The Last Dance for Me" at the event. Sparks, who is nominated for a
BET Viewer's Choice Award for her duet with Chris Brown, is set to perform her latest single "One Step at a Time." Chesney will sing "Never Wanted Nothing More" and Bedingfield will sing "Pocketful of Sunshine." Natalie Morales of NBC's
Today and Tiki Barber of
Today and
Football Night in America will co-host the event on Independence Day.
The Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular will air from 9-10 p.m. on NBC. Sound like something you'd watch? I don't know if I'll be tuning in for this. I'd rather find a local fireworks show than watch one on TV.

Man, this year's going fast, isn't it? It seems like just yesterday we were all speculating on
how well Dick Clark did on
New Year's Rockin' Eve 2006, his first public appearance since his stroke. Now, ABC is
announcing the lineup for
New Year's Rockin' Eve 2007, which Clark will co-host with New Dick Clark, otherwise known as Ryan Seacrest.
The biggest name joining the lineup is Fergie, singer for the Black Eyed Peas, who currently has a hit solo album. Her song "Supersonic" (er, I mean "Fergalicious"... those songs sound so much alike, I get confused) is also burning up the Billboard charts. She'll perform as well as introduce performances by Meat Loaf, Natasha Bedingfield, and Latin sensation RBD.
The fact that I'm even aware that the song "Fergalicious" exists is proof of how it has permeated everyone's existence (I'm not a big hip-hop fan). Looks like Clark is playing the hot hand, as usual. Not bad for a seventy-seven year old guy who can barely speak anymore.

Has the video ever totally ruined a song for you? It sure has for me. I realized it this afternoon as I quickly slammed the radio button in my car to turn off a song that I hate... all because of the video. The song is called 'These Words (I Love You, I Love You)' by Natasha Bedingfield. I used to see her 'Bimbo Jones remix' video early every morning last winter when I worked out at the gym. It was like a train wreck: it was awful but I couldn't look away. She sang and danced her happy tune with little cartoon stereos that had chubby legs. Weird. And super dumb. I'm not sure whether I would've liked the song anyway, but the video made me hate it. I've embedded it after the jump so you can hate it too.
What video ruined a song for you?
