The folks at our sister site Cinematical are working hard to give you news and reviews of the best -- and worst -- the silver screen has to offer. Here are some of their musings on the latest blockbusters, indies, and everything in between:

• I've recently become obsessed with Video On Demand, both through Netflix and through my cable company, so I'm excited that its future is being discussed at Fantastic Fest. I want more available now, please!
• "Why TV is (sometimes) better than the movies:" Whaaaa? I mean, I totally agree, but this isn't something I expected to see on Cinematical.
• OMG I want to see Zombieland so badly. It's like someone snuck into my brain and said, "Hey Kona, I want to make a movie exactly for you." I'm planning on seeing it this weekend, and I can only hope that it won't let me down. You can read Cinematical's Zombieland review here.
• Everything I've heard about Mo'Nique's performance in Precious is that she is AMAZING. So the idea that she should be denied an Oscar nomination because she is reportedly skipping press events for the film is asinine. If she deserves it, she deserves it-- whether or not she wants to play the game.
• I understand why Michael Moore is inviting jobless and homeless folks to a screening of his new film, Capitalism: A Love Story, but do they really need to sit in a theater for two hours and relive how the government and Wall Street screwed them?

As AOL Television continues their look at the 50 Best TV Comedies -- Ever with numbers 40-31, we here at TV Squad are also looking at them as well, but in a different light. Last week, we took a look at the top ten sitcom sidekicks. This time around we look at the stars of these shows. In particular, those stars that began their career between a brick wall (or a curtain) and a microphone.

We're talking about stand-up comedians. During the early days of television they were found very infrequently in situation comedies (yet, they were plentiful in variety shows). However, as the decades progressed, more and more of them found a home in front of three cameras and a live studio audience. Many of them became bigger stars then they ever were performing routines in front of a drunken audience at 1:00 AM.

We've compiled a pretty comprehensive (in my opinion) list of those stand-ups who made it big in the sitcom world. In order to keep the list down to under a thousand entries, we set a few standards: The sitcom needed to last at least two seasons, the show had to be a comedy and not a variety program, and the comedian needed to have a prominent role in the sitcom. Even with those rules the list is pretty extensive. So, without further pontification...

Oxygen CEO Geraldine Laybourne (pictured) would like you to know that "comedy is Oxygen's voice." I'm afraid her saying that will only add fuel to the Christopher Hitchens "women aren't funny" fire because as far as I can see Oxygen is only unintentionally hilarious. If anything, Oxygen programs like The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency provoke the kind of nervous laughter in me that comes from shame, embarrassment and the fear that the society I live in has become completely unhinged. Apparently, any kind of laughter is good enough for the "network for women."

Recently, I posted about an upcoming Flavor of Love spin-off, entitled The Flavorette (actually, I've been hearing that it may be called I Love New York, so now I'm confused). Well, I come bearing tidings of doom and the decline of civilization as we know it.

VH1's making a show about a bunch of Flavor of Love ladies attending etiquette school. Oh, yes.

Now don't rinse the taste of vomit from your mouth just yet, because... get this... The ever-classy commedienne Mo'Nique will be hosting it.
