In the
Heroes universe (as with the
Buffy universe before it), death has never stopped anyone from being a guest star. According to EW's Michael Ausiello,
Robert Forster will be joining the cast as Arthur Petrelli, the father of Nathan and Peter Petrelli. The character has been well-established as being dead on the series. Forster is best known for his Academy Award-nominated performance in the movie
Jackie Brown.
As the original article states, there isn't a definitive way to know how we'll meet Papa Petrelli. Hiro's time-travel abilities could be involved or it could simply be a flashback.

According to various sources such as
Kristin Dos Santos from E!,
Ain't It Cool News and
Michael Ausiello, it is more than likely that we will get no new episodes of NBC's
Heroes this spring. Even if most series will return this spring with a few new episodes, it looks like NBC decided to have the cast and crew start shooting Season 3 instead of offering fans a few more episodes for the second season.

Heroes didn't have time to complete more than 11 episodes, all of which have aired, before production was shut down due to writers' strike. However, it was confirmed the cast and crew had time to shoot some scenes for episodes 12 and 13 (other sources say they had time to shoot part, if not all, of episodes 12 to 16!).
TV Guide's Michael Ausiello reports that Tim Kring presented a new trailer at the Jules Verne Adventure Film Festival of Los Angeles, which includes some of those yet-to-air scenes.

(S02E08) Peter Petrelli: "I remember...I remember everything."
Adam Monroe: "Good, then...Shall we save the world?"
So, if you're a hero, a lot can happen in four months. And, apparently, a lot is going to happen in the next three episodes as our favorite heroes have to save the world (and probably the cheerleader) again. From those scenes from next week's
Heroes, it looks like there may be a stand-off coming between the two father-daughter pairs on the show (Noah/Claire & Bob/Elle). I can't wait to see that.
Some may disagree with me, but I thought this was a great episode. I know nothing really moved forward in the "present-day plot" so to speak, but we got a lot of much-needed answers about some of the key players on the show. And, most importantly, Peter Petrelli got his memory back. Brainless Peter was just annoying.

(S02E07) I enjoyed this episode immensely.
For starters, there wasn't a single mention of the wonder twins tonight! There were no black tears, no subtitles, and consequently, no dozing off on my part. The twins' storyline is this years version of the Nikki/Jessica snorefest that ensued most of last season. The less I have to see of it the better.
Unfortunately, we also received no further insight into what's going on in Gabriele's world. I was really hoping we'd get to see him make good on his promise to kill Alejandro.
Judging by some of the comments I've read in
past recaps, I'm willing to bet a few of you completely agree with me on that point.

(S02E06) "There's a storm coming Dr. Suresh." --Bob
Is Bob heralding the return of season one's magic? Save the cheerleader. Save the world. Claire is a cheerleader again. New York is burning, destroyed, evacuated (or whatever) again. Now all we need is Sylar to get his powers back. I can only hope that the overarching plotline will take us in this direction. It's not that I want to see a repeat of season one. I just long for the overlapping stories. I like seeing the characters all together, supers cooperating to save the world. It gives me the warm and fuzzies.

Sometimes I get the feeling that Mike Ausiello of
TV Guide has a life goal of having a lengthy interview with everyone who's ever been involved with
Gilmore Girls. But that might be a good thing, considering he usually draws good information out of these people.
Anyway, when Milo Ventimiglia came by the TVG offices, I would imagine he did it to promote
Heroes, his new fall show on NBC. But Ausiello
peppered him with
GG questions anyway. Some good tidbits came out: He won't be back as Jess; Lauren Graham may or may not have 2 years left on her contract, and Alexis Bledel has only one year left. In conclusion, he feels the same as most people: the upcoming 7th season of
Gilmore will be the last one. Oh, and he mentions some stuff about
Heroes and his role in (gulp)
Rocky VI.
Next up: Ausiello interviews the key grip from
GG seasons 1-3; I'm sure
he'll have some insights on Lauren Graham's contract, too.
