Hard to believe that it's been over a year and a half since
Rescue Me bowed its
season four finale. The
minisodes that aired last summer served to remind us that the FDNY drama was alive and kicking, but more than anything, they made one other point clear - there ain't nothing like the real thing.
Rescue Me returns to FX this coming Tuesday, April 7th at 10PM ET, and after screening the first nine episodes of the fifth season's 22, trust me when I say that all the bad reviews associated with the mediocrity of season four can be forgotten. Tommy Gavin is back and better than ever.

I'm sure that someone, somewhere is annoyed that, with the release of the new
Knight Rider, NBC is completely ignoring the
Knight Rider continuity established in
Knight Rider 2000 and
Knight Rider 2010. If you're that person, I'd highly suggest a) not following the link and b) finding the help you so desperately need.
For the rest of us, enjoy
this teaser trailer for the new Knight Rider series. There's not much to be gleaned from it except the obvious: KITT is no longer a TransAM, but rather a Ford Mustang. The other big news that might come as a shocker (
Spoiler Warning): it's no longer
Michael driving KITT, it's
Mike. That's right,
Knight Rider, welcome to the name-shortening 21st century!
There are other questions that we can only guess at until the show premiers in February...

It's the day after the big (and often controversial) Evel Dick Donato first place win on
Big Brother 8, as well as his daughter Daniele's second place win. Together, they won $550,000. Not chump change for sure, but I'd like to see this show increase its grand prize to a million like other reality shows of its ilk.
Julie Chen interviewed both Dick and his loving Evel Spawn on
The Early Show -- the CBS website has
an extended version of that interview available online as well as the
initial interview itself.
But the kicker is
a set of video interviews with all of the houseguests posted by the CBS affiliate in Los Angeles. Those took place in the yard before the wrap party and include such treasures as Amber telling us she taught America it's okay to cry. Yeah, right. [A tip of the hat to commenter
OrkMommy for the link to the CBS backyard interviews!]

(S08E10) If I was Daniele's live-in boyfriend, and I was at home watching this season of
Big Brother, there's a 100% chance I'd be shooting some heroin directly into my left atrium right about now in an effort to kill the pain.
While Danielle hasn't actually done anything too serious with Nick yet - at least as far as I can tell since I don't partake in the
live-feed - she does openly flirt with him, she occasionally shares a bed with him, and she whispers things like, "I've been wanting to kiss you all day," before ducking under the covers and making sweet sinful noises with him.
It also didn't help that Evel Dick said "Nick was in the Major Leagues while Kris was still in training camp." That line had to sting a little.

(S08E08) My how the mighty have fallen. Less than three weeks ago Kail was on the top of the
Big Brother world.
She was Head of Household, she'd made virtually no enemies to speak of, and she was the brains behind a four person alliance that had the potential to make it a good distance into the game.
Now she's the primary target up for eviction, she's pretty much reviled in the house thanks to Evel Dick, and her alliance is nowhere to be found.
I was a Kail fan coming out of the first few episodes, but that all started changing once she molted and her true form took shape.

Lifetime - is it still "television for women?" - has
ordered nine more episodes of the Canadian-made horror-romance series
Blood Ties. The network will air the last nine episodes of this current order in October (though new episodes continue to air now, Sundays at 10). The big hiatus is so the network can premiere new shows.
How is this show? I watch
Entourage at that time, and I always forget to set the TiVo for this. Is it worth it? The premise sounds a bit like
Forever Knight, though I know this isn't about a vampire cop but a private eye that gets involved with vampires. Looks more romantic/dramatic than the Geraint Wyn Davies show. Is there action too, and maybe some scares?
