Michelle Rodriguez-related stories

Lost may be the twistiest-turniest show on TV, but there is still one thing you can always depend on: death is never the end. Producers have proven this once again by announcing the
return of the late LAPD officer, Ana Lucia.
Michelle Rodriguez, who played Ana Lucia during
Lost's second season, wasn't exactly the most
popular character the drama has ever had, so I doubt her resurrection was the result of a rabid fan uprising.
Rodriguez, of course, isn't the first deceased "Tailie"
Lost has brought back.
Cynthia Watros, who played Libby, appeared in one of Michael's visions last season. Rodriguez's return is fueling speculation that Mr. Eko, who met his untimely demise at the (hands?) of the smoke monster, may also return in some form.
Since we're talking about
Lost here, there isn't exactly a wealth of details available about Ana Lucia's reappearance. However, there is a little bit of interesting information, which I've put after the jump for all of you spoilerphobes.

Don't be surprised if Jin dies this season on
Lost. That's what happened when two other actors on the show
got DUIs (although, the producers swear their deaths were not related to their off-set antics).
This time, Daniel Dae Kim
got the DUI. He was arrested early Thursday by Honolulu police, taken into custody, then released on bail. Kim joins the ranks of Cynthia Watros, who played Libby, and Michelle Rodriguez, who played Ana Lucia.

The newest set of
Lost flashback videos features the
back stories of Jack, Hurley, Locke, Sun and Jin. Jack's video is more of a Christian-Jack flashback since most of the clips focus on Christian's last days in Australia. We get a brief glimpse of Ana-Lucia during Christian's argument with Claire's aunt Lindsay. Ana-Lucia and Christian part ways in front of a bar, where Christian happens to encounter Sawyer. The video moves ahead to Jack's arrival in Australia to search for Christian, where he learns that his father has disappeared from his hotel.

Some of you may already be familiar with stuntwoman Heather Arthur after reading about her personal blog. Arthur is currently working as Evangeline Lilly's stunt double on Lost, and doubled for Michelle Rodriguez as well. The Lost Blog has an interesting Q&A with Heather Arthur. The stuntwoman discusses what goes into a typical Lost stunt, what the actors are like to work with, and gives advice to those who want to pursue a career in stunt work. Arthur shared the following behind-the-scenes information about Lost:
- Heather Arthur's father, the stunt coordinator on Lost, suggested that she take the job as Evangeline Lilly's stunt double.
- The stunts on Lost range from high falls to fight sequences; Arthur has never done the same stunt twice.

Heather Arthur, a stuntwoman who has done film and television work, keeps a very interesting blog about her life and career. Arthur has been the stunt double for Evangeline Lilly and Michelle Rodriguez, and her posts contain plenty of behind-the-scenes details about Lost. The stuntwoman had the following things to say about her scenes and the show's stars:
-
Arthur was brought in to double for Evangeline Lilly in the tree-climbing scene (
"Par Avion"), but Lilly ended up doing the stunt herself. She believes that Lilly is a "stuntwoman at heart."
-
She doubled for Evangeline Lilly in
"Enter 77," for a scene in which Kate is tackled by Ms. Klugh.

More than one year after her DUI arrest in Hawaii, former Lost cast member Michelle Rodriguez has posted her version of events on her official website. Besides that fact that she won't be winning any spelling bees in the near future, the actress also revealed the following details:
-
Evangeline Lilly had invited her to a viewing of the newest Lost episode in her home; Rodriguez brought some champagne for the occasion.
-
Rodriguez knew she was too drunk to drive home, but felt more comfortable driving to co-star Cynthia Watros' house than staying put.

I saw that
Michelle Rodriguez was back playing Ana Lucia and my first thought was "What the hell? Have they finally made good on all that zombie talk?" Alas, it doesn't appear so. According to the
Access Hollywood piece, she is appearing in a flashback. The article is spoiler free, for those of you that dodge the dirty details. The only thing it gives away is her wardrobe.
How her return is received will, of course, depend on the story they are telling, but I am surprised that they are bringing her back at all. I was under the impression that most people were ok with being done with Ana Lucia. Are there
Lost fans with burning Ana Lucia questions that have to be cleared up?
No word on whether or not the producers popped for a full time driver this time, but one can hope.
Lost is scheduled to return from its mid-season break on February 7, but I wouldn't rule out the possibility of that getting bumped up. Week after week of fourth place finishes has a way of shuffling schedules and changing plans.

Michelle Rodriguez site that says the Acess Hollywood pics are not of her, and she is not currently in Hawaii.

Here we go again. This week's public outing features Michelle Rodriguez - star of
Girlfight, former
Lost cast member and ex-jailbird. I know. I know. You didn't realize that she
wasn't out.
In
an interview with The Advocate,
The L Word's Kristanna Loken implies that she is in the middle of a hot and heavy romance with the late Ana Lucia.
The Advocate questioned Loken directly about the relationship, and while she coyly eluded their inquiries,
The Advocate went ahead with a "Michelle & Kristanna in love!" headline.

Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, who plays Mr. Eko on ABC's
Lost, was arrested early Saturday morning in Waikiki, Oahu. Police charged him with disobeying a police officer and driving without a license. He spent six hours in jail before posting $500 bail.
This is the third new cast member to be arrested for traffic violations. Adewale's infractions don't seem as serious as last year's
drunken driving arrests of Michelle Rodriguez and Cynthia Watros. The two actresses played 'Ana Lucia' and 'Libby' up until the season finale when the writers killed the pair off.
I guess Bernard is next. I'm thinking he'll be busted for indecent exposure. Or hit and run, since there seems to be a traffic theme.

In this week's edition of Newsweek,
Lost producer Carlton Cuse promises that the season finale will answer some very big, looming questions. What questions? 1) Why did the plane crash? (Ohhh! That's a biggie!); 2) What happens if the button isn't pushed; and 3) "We're going to resolve the Michael-and-Walt story." The article also quotes Dominic Monaghan and Evangeline Lilly talking about how some actors are becoming high maintenance and misbehaving on set (no, they don't name names).
I kind-of feel like we already know what happens when the button isn't pushed: NOTHING. Last week, we learned that the button-pushing is just an experiment. But, we've never actually seen anything past the hieroglyphics.
With all those big questions answered, what do you think next season will be all about?

Sawyer was reading the manuscript last week on
Lost, and now it is out on bookshelves.
Bad Twin is being billed as a book written by a man named Gary Troup, who hasn't been heard from since Oceanic flight 815 disappeared after leaving Sydney, Australia in September 2004 (yes, the book description
on Amazon does give a date for that fateful flight). 'Gary Troup' is an anagram for 'Purgatory'. By the way, there are already mostly positive
customer reviews.
The description on Amazon says the book is about a private investigator named Paul Artisan who investigates the disappearance of one of a set of twins (the "bad twin"). It says, "Troup's long-awaited
Bad Twin is a suspenseful novel that touches on many powerful themes, including the consequence of vengeance, the power of redemption, and where to turn when all seems lost."
Will you read the book this summer? By the way, if you don't feel like reading, the audio version is available
on iTunes.

Well, Ana Lucia is definitely dead. Libby? Maybe not.
Yet.In
an interview with TV Guide's Aussiello,
Lost producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse explain why they killed off Ana Lucia, played by Michelle
Rodriguez. A few highlights:
- Calling herself a 'nomad', Rodriguez insisted that she only be on the
show for one season;
- When Rodriguez got her DUI, the producers considered changing
her storyline because they were worried it would look like they were punishing her by killing off her character;
- Same for Watros. Libby wasn't shot because Watros got a DUI;
- Michelle Rodriguez plays well with
others.

Michelle Rodriguez, aka 'Ana Lucia' on
Lost,
was freed from a Honolulu women's jail on Friday. She spent most of this week there after pleading guilty to drunk
driving charges. Rodriguez opted for the jail time, rather than 240 hours of community service because, she said,
autograph hounds would hassle her if she did work hours. Did she mean 'taunt'? The warden of the women's prison said
she watched TV and read during her stay.
Now, she
went to jail on
Tuesday. And she got out on Friday. If you're doing the math and wondering how that equals five days... stop counting
on your fingers, because it doesn't. Honolulu police waived one day of incarceration for time already served. She was
held in custody for a bit when she was originally arrested back in December and, apparently, that counted as one day
served.
Next up for Michelle is a movie called
Grapefruit
Moon and (possibly) another season on
Lost.
