Lost's Marsha Thomason may have gotten more screen time in Wednesday's
"Greatest Hits," but her character remains a mystery to viewers. In an interview with
The Trades, the actress discussed her first scenes as Naomi, her previous TV roles, and getting along with the show's cast and crew. Here are the highlights:
- Thomason has known co-star Dominic Monaghan for a long time, and was glad that her first Lost scenes were with him.

(S03E20) Ben celebrates his birthday in odd ways, doesn't he? We finally got a glimpse of Ben's personal history with the island and with his father. Yet another
Lost character with Daddy issues! I think I would have issues, too, if my Dad was Uncle Rico from
Napoleon Dynamite.
The BeachI'm going to get this story line out of the way first since the real action this week was in the jungle. Thanks to Sawyer, the rest of the 815ers were alerted to Naomi's presence and to Juliet's plans. We also got to hear Ben's response to Juliet's latest report. When Juliet told Sawyer to play the rest of the tape, I was expecting its contents to make her appear more sympathetic, not less. I suppose honesty was her only option at that point.

Naomi, the mysterious parachutist, said some mind-blowing things to the crash survivors in
"D.O.C." Besides the bizarre news that someone had found the 815 wreckage and its dead passengers, she revealed that she's multilingual. Over the course of the episode, she spoke Chinese, English, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish. She also had a secret conversation with Mikhail.
Lost fans have been busy translating Naomi's statements from Wednesday's episode. TV Squad's Brigitte Dale and many others have pointed out that Mikhail lied about Naomi thanking him. She actually said "I am not the only one." As if the plane crash news wasn't strange enough! Her statement could be interpreted several ways, depending on who she's working with. At the very least, it sounds like someone else could have landed on the island.

(S03E18) I don't know about you, but the last scene in that episode kind of freaked me out. Naomi the parachutist had better do some talking next week. Creepy revelations aside, how incredible was Yunjin Kim's performance? Between Sun's overall awesomeness and Jin's fighting skills, those two deserve their own spin-off. I haven't loved the Sun-Jin episodes in the past, but this one was amazing!
The Flashback
A long time ago, Sun and Jin were the cutest newlyweds ever. I couldn't stop grinning as they flirted and declared that they loved each other "madly." Their early happiness only makes their later troubles more depressing. The couple barely had time to enjoy moving into their first apartment before dealing with their first crisis.

Last week, Marsha Thomason made her debut on the ABC series
Lost as Naomi the parachutist. Even though she didn't have much screen time in
last week's episode, Thomason's role will expand in tonight's episode and is even said to drop a bombshell on the survivors. When spoilers about her role first leaked, it was said that the character would be a regular. It is unknown if she will in fact be a regular or a recurring cast member. One thing is sure, Marsha Thomason will appear in most, if not all, of the remaining episodes of the season and, if the fans respond better to her character than they did to
Nikki and Paulo, she may still be around in Season 3.
Many
Lost fans may wonder who Marsha Thomason is but
Las Vegas fans know exactly who she is. Thomason was a regular on the NBC series for a few years until her character abruptly left the show.
