Sometimes the news is just too good to be true. Former television star of
The Incredible Hulk and still hulk-y looking guy Lou Ferrigno is rumored
to be signing up for
Dancing with the Stars. Between this and his cameos in the
Hulk movies and
I Love You, Man, his star is really starting to shine again. Not bad for a guy pushing 60 years old.
I've actually met Lou Ferrigno on a couple of occasions at various sci-fi and comic conventions, and he's always been a nice guy to everyone getting an autograph. I'm curious how his well-documented hearing problems will affect his dancing. If he does manage to overcome them and do well on the show, I'll be the first guy cheering for him.
Of course, I'd be even more impressed if he lost the contest, turned green with rage, and then went on a rampage beating the crap out of the judges and all the other contestants. There's an episode of
DWTS that I would watch.

Some serious cross-promotion will take place on the June 9 episode of
American Gladiators.
NBC is airing a special
Incredible Hulk-themed installment of the series known for its muscle-bound warriors decked out in spandex and oil.
The Incredible Hulk feature film, directed by Louis Leterrier and starring Edward Norton, Liv Tyler, Tim Roth and William Hurt, hits theaters four days later on June 13.
The
Gladiators episode will feature guest star
Lou Ferrigno (who played the green guy on the 1970s TV series) sharing the spotlight with host
Hulk Hogan.

Universal has
offically announced that the entire first season of
The Incredible Hulk, the 70s action show with Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno that I loved for about a year, will
be coming out on July 18. It will be a 4 DVD set, with both TV films and the 10 episodes from the first season.
Universal is notorious for not having many extras on their TV DVDs, but fans will be happy to know that this
set will have two extra features: a commentary track and special interview/intro with Ferrigno. Which is good, because
you don't want to make Hulk fans angry. You wouldn't like them when they're angry.
