Lost death pool update: Week fifteen

Terry O'QuinnI had waited until "Greatest Hits" aired to post another death pool update because I thought we would learn what had happened to Locke. I could not have been more wrong. Ben mentioned Locke's "accident" briefly, but our favorite bald man failed to make an appearance. The highly anticipated Charlie death didn't even happen! Death pool participants don't have long to wait, however. Something tells me that this week's Others-815ers showdown will have some major casualties.

Lost death pool update: Week thirteen

Terry O'Quinn"The Brig" featured one of the biggest deaths of Season Three. The only problem? No one picked this person in the death pool! It's not that surprising, given the fact that "TS" was strictly a flashback character when the pool started. Those hoping to catch up to the current leaders still have some hope. Rumor has it that death will strike again before the season is over.

In the meantime, last week's point totals remain in place. Mikhail will appear in this week's episode, "The Man Behind The Curtain," so we might get a few answers about his presence among the living. If you haven't already, check out this post about MSNBC's Lost death odds. Some of your picks got the thumbs up (Charlie, Desmond), while others were listed as long shots (Kate, Ben). The MSNBC article was right about last week's death, so it may be worth reading.

Good luck this week for "The Man Behind The Curtain"!

Lost death pool update: Week twelve

Marsha Thomason, Daniel Dae Kim, Henry Ian CusickThe great thing about celebrity death pools is that the deaths really stick. With a show like Lost, nothing is ever what it seems. The show went down the soap-opera route this week, bringing one of its characters back from the dead (or what looked like death). In true Lost fashion, there was no explanation given. Fans naturally had many questions after the episode aired, and death pool participants has even more concerns.

What does this mean for the death pool? As of right now, the points in question are being deducted. As always, the point totals reflect the events of each new episode, so it is possible that things will change as more information comes in. Read on for more specifics about the death and the new death pool standings. If you have not seen "D.O.C" or you wish to avoid discussion of further episodes, please stop reading now.

Lost death pool analysis: The newest spoilers

Dominic Monaghan and Henry Ian Cusick(Spoiler Warning) With only a few weeks left until the big Lost season finale, speculation about the final episodes is popping up all over the place. The past two weeks of TV Guide's Ask Ausiello have featured the most exciting spoilers of all. Death has been absent from Lost episodes recently, but it will be back in full force next month. More than a few of you could be catching up to the death pool leaders. Things could get very interesting!

This post is all about possible character deaths, so please stop reading if you want to be unspoiled for the rest of Season Three.

Lost death pool update: Week eleven

Dominic Monaghan and Henry Ian CusickCharlie cheated death yet again! Of all the possible Charlie death scenarios so far, the arrow in the neck is my favorite. If he keeps this up, Charlie will risk being compared to Kenny from South Park. I have more news from last week's update about a certain guest star, but I will save that for after the jump.

Chris Wyant, April, and ts are still in the top spots. Alex, bbf203, BlackViking, darciedyan, Ed W., Gregory Capobianco, Holli, Hubba, jks, Kat, Kenneth Chong, Kristi Parry, Lauren, Michael, PlusDrew, Priscilla, RedStarRevolution, and Tracy are close behind. For a complete list of death pool standings, please refer to the post for Week Eight.

Stop reading if you want to avoid potential spoilers for "D.O.C."

Lost death pool update: Week ten

Elizabeth Mitchell(Spoiler Warning for those who have not seen "One of Us") Another quiet week on the Lost island! No deaths this time around, but there are plenty of episodes left. Juliet's claim about the island's effect on mothers could mean that Sun is danger. Another upcoming episode features a guest star that could shake things up in the death pool. Keep reading after the jump for a review of possible death pool scenarios!

For now, the standings have not changed. Chris Wyant, April, and ts are the front runners. Alex, bbf203, BlackViking, darciedyan, Ed W., Gregory Capobianco, Holli, Hubba, jks, Kat, Kenneth Chong, Kristi Parry, Lauren, Michael, PlusDrew, Priscilla, RedStarRevolution, and Tracy are still holding their own. The next few weeks could bring some serious changes to the pool. Read on!

Lost death pool update: Week nine

lostAfter last week's killer episode, there was bound to be some down time for the pool. No deaths, and no one came back from the dead. But with several episodes left, there could still be some changes in the standings. Charlie will be getting a flashback episode in a few weeks, and that could give those of you at the 40 point level a boost. A unique pick could really make some changes (those are worth double points), but there are only a few of those left.

In the meantime, last week's standings remain in place. Chris Wyant, April, and ts are in the top three spots, but have no picks left. The following people could still catch up: Alex, bbf203, BlackViking, darciedyan, Ed W., Gregory Capobianco, Holli, Hubba, jks, Kat, Kenneth Chong, Kristi Parry, Lauren, Michael, PlusDrew, Priscilla, RedStarRevolution, and Tracy. Those with 21 points or less fall into the "long shot" category.

See you next week for "One of Us"!

Lost death pool update: week eight

Yunjin Kim and Josh HollowayWell, well, well. "Exposé" was a busy episode for the grim reaper. As usual, I will leave the details for after the jump, so stop reading if you have not seen the newest episode. Many players have shot ahead in the pool, and a few of you have used up all of your picks already. Impressive.

I should mention that there have been rumors that a character who was presumed dead may show up alive in a later episode. For any death pool standings to change, this "resurrection" will have to occur onscreen during Season Three. The character will have to be seen alive, in real time.

Now let's get to the updated standings!

Lost death pool update: Week seven

Naveen Andrews"The Man From Tallahassee" was a fairly violent episode, yet somehow no new pool-relevant deaths occurred. Locke probably should be dead, after what we saw in his flashback, but no dice. The standings for last week remain in effect. There were some grumblings about Mikhail's death being counted, but until he shows up alive, he's dead to me.

Chris Wyant is still in first place with 42 points. Black Viking is close behind with 34 points. The following people are still in third place, with 21 points: Alex, Andrew, April, bbf203, Brody, Craig, darciedyan, Dennis K, Diana, Don, Dustin, Gina, Gregory Capobianco, Holli, Hubba, jks, John S., Kat, Kenneth Chong, Kris Clark, Kristi Parry, Lauren, mgamark, michou2880, Morgan, nandy, PlusDrew, Priscilla, RedStarRevolution, Sam, Stephanie, Thomas Cushard, Tracy, ts, TuckerKatt, and TVblogger.

Next week's Nikki and Paulo episode could be the moment of truth for a lot of you. Good luck!

Lost death pool update: Week three

Lost, ABCIt was another slow week for the Lost death pool, although "Stranger in a Strange Land" featured a close call for Juliet. Her death would have been worth quite a few points, too: 14 for the episode, and I might have even thrown in bonus points for her type of death (being executed by the Others is pretty cool, no?). Alas, it was not to be. Since there are no new updates, I have decided to give players a rundown of the possible life expectancy of the remaining characters.

Lost death pool update: Week two

Lost, ABCUnfortunately for death pool participants, nobody died during the "Flashes Before Your Eyes" episode of Lost. There may have been some good news for entrants who marked Charlie for death, however. Will Charlie's supposedly inevitable death come soon, or will the writers drag out the suspense into next season? Either way, below are some possible points scenarios for those who did (and did not) pick Charlie.

Lost Death Pool update (spoilers)

Lost, ABCDuring Wednesday night's episode of Lost, viewers got to witness the first island death of 2007. For participants in TV Squad's Lost Death Pool it was a welcome event. I'll hold off until after the jump to discuss the details of the death, for those of you who have not seen the episode yet. Whether you liked the character or not, the death was good news for a more than few people, and I'm not just talking about fictional characters. Keep reading to get a rundown of point totals and a list of those lucky people who are currently in the lead.
