Lost character flashbacks: Part eleven

Matthew Fox and John TerryThe newest set of Lost flashback videos features the back stories of Jack, Hurley, Locke, Sun and Jin. Jack's video is more of a Christian-Jack flashback since most of the clips focus on Christian's last days in Australia. We get a brief glimpse of Ana-Lucia during Christian's argument with Claire's aunt Lindsay. Ana-Lucia and Christian part ways in front of a bar, where Christian happens to encounter Sawyer. The video moves ahead to Jack's arrival in Australia to search for Christian, where he learns that his father has disappeared from his hotel.

Yunjin KimABC has posted another set of Lost flashback videos. This week, we revisit the back stories of Sun and Jin, Hurley, Kate, and Charlie. We are almost through all the major characters' flashbacks, and I hope that more of the supporting characters' back stories will be shown soon.

The fourth Sun and Jin video examines the couple's married life. After the wedding, Jin promises Sun that they will get a real honeymoon someday. Mr. Paik promotes Jin to a position as his "special assistant," asking him to send a message to the Secretary for Environmental Safety. When Jin arrives at the Secretary's home, the man is clearly terrified of him. Jin merely relays Paik's verbal message, and the Secretary is so relieved he gives Jin his daughter's puppy. Jin gives the dog to Sun, who is upset about Jin's busy work schedule.

Jorge Garcia and Yunjin KimThe newest set of Lost flashback videos has just been released. This week, we get a look at the back stories of Charlie, Sun & Jin, Hurley, and Jack. Charlie's fourth flashback is set during the early stages of Driveshaft's "hiatus." Charlie's dealer sets Charlie up to con a rich young woman named Lucy. After getting to know Lucy and her father, he ends up taking a job as a copier salesman. The drug dealer, angry about the broken agreement, cuts Charlie off and warns him about the difficult days that are ahead of him.

Sun and Jin's flashback combines clips from "House of the Rising Sun" and "...In Translation." Sun and Jin meet secretly during one of Mr. Paik's parties. Jin is there working as a waiter, and promises to marry Sun someday. Jin meets with Mr. Paik to ask for his blessing, and lies about his father's death. Mr. Paik gives the couple his consent on the condition that Jin comes to work for him.

Josh HollowayThe newest set of Lost flashback videos is now available on ABC's website. This week, the back stories of Sawyer, Locke, Hurley, and Jin and Sun are examined. Sawyer's sixth flashback features scenes from "Outlaws." Hibbs (Robert Patrick) surprises Sawyer in his hotel room, and gives him the location of the original Sawyer. After arriving in Sydney, Sawyer buys a gun from one of Hibbs' associates, and seems prepared to kill Frank "Sawyer" Duckett.

The Locke video picks up just after Cooper's funeral. Locke has finished inspecting Nadia's house, and he notices another mysterious car. The car's driver is revealed to be Cooper, who faked his death to avoid two men that he stole from. Cooper asks John to fetch his retirement nest egg of $700,000 from a safety deposit box at the bank. He offers John $200,000, and says that he will understand if John refuses.

Daniel Dae KimABC has released the sixth set of Lost character flashback videos. This week, we get a look at the back stories of Sun and Jin, Sawyer, Locke, and Charlie. Sun and Jin's video starts with a clip from "The Glass Ballerina." Sun is shown lying to her father about breaking a glass figurine. The video moves ahead to Sun as an adult, preparing for a meeting with a matchmaker. Meanwhile, Jin is preparing for a very important job interview. Jin's roommate makes a meaningful prediction regarding Jin's love life.

Part five of the Sawyer flashback continues the prison con storyline. Sawyer earns Munson's confidence, and finds out the location of the money. It is revealed that Sawyer was in cahoots with the warden and the Treasury Department, and Sawyer gets released from prison. Sawyer uses his commission from the con to set up a bank account for his daughter, Clementine Phillips.

Evangeline LillyThe fifth installment of Lost flashback videos is available on ABC's website. This week, we get the continuing stories of Kate, Jack, Charlie, and Locke. The fifth Kate video features scenes from "Born to Run," in which Tom arranges for Kate to meet with her dying mother. The former sweethearts' time capsule is unearthed, and the owner of the infamous little toy plane is revealed. Kate's family reunion does not go as planned after Diane suddenly becomes afraid of Kate and cries for help.

Jack's flashback depicts the end of Jack's marriage to Sarah. He arrives home after Angelo's failed surgery and confesses to kissing Gabriela. Sarah has a secret of her own, and informs Jack that she has been unfaithful and is leaving him. The flashback moves ahead to Jack's obsession with learning the identity of the other man. Lost character flashbacks: Part four

Dominic Monaghan, LostABC just released the fourth installment of the Lost character flashback videos. This week, the Locke flashbacks have been replaced with the first Charlie flashback video. Flashbacks for Jack, Kate, and Sawyer are also available, and will probably conclude in a few weeks.

Part One of Charlie's flashback begins with Charlie as a young boy. His mother gives him a piano for Christmas, and we learn that she expects his talent to benefit the family someday. The video moves ahead to Charlie as an adult, playing bass for pre-fame Driveshaft. After visiting a priest for confession, Charlie determines that he must quit the band to avoid temptation. His brother, however, has other ideas. Liam dangles a recording contract in front of Charlie, and promises to look out for him in the future.

Second installment of Lost flashback videos available

Evangeline Lilly as KateThe newest set of Lost character flashback videos has been posted on ABC's website. I was hoping that they would show the flashbacks of some of the other characters this week, but ABC continued with the stories of Jack, Kate, Locke, and Sawyer.

Jack's video featured his late night encounter with Desmond in an empty arena. I had forgotten that Desmond mentioned that he was "almost a doctor" in that scene. Perhaps this will be cleared up if Desmond ever gets a military flashback. Jack's subsequent healing of future wife Sarah was also shown.
