Seven retro network promos to leave you confused, delighted - VIDEOS

abcWhile ABC, NBC, and CBS have historically remained in a cutthroat battle for viewers, each network has shared one common trait: come the season of network promotional campaigns, all actors must be prepared to look absolutely ridiculous.

After the jump ... Remember this pop cultural gem (video below) that gained traction on the Net not too long ago? The sheer oddity of the clip alone forces us to ask ourselves several questions: do these people all live together? Why is Marla Gibbs dressed like an astronaut? Does Bea Arthur do everybody's shoppingl? CAN'T NELL CARTER JUST SIT DOWN AND REST HER FEET FOR A SECOND? (Seriously, give her a break!)

Corbin Bernsen hosts for GSN

Corbin BernsenGSN has announced the pickup of a new gameshow called How Much is Enough hosted by actor Corbin Bernsen.

The show, which is produced by BBC Worldwide America, is a contest to see which contestant can win the most money without being the greediest. The game begins with five "Money Clocks" ranging in value from $1,000 to $5,000. In each round players secretly buzz in as the amount of money is shown on the clock in an attempt to capture the second-highest amount of money each time. Whoever rings in last, and scores the highest amount of cash goes home empty handed.

Hot guys cast in Old Christine, Lost

blair underwood; rodrigo santoroThe hunky Blair Underwood has signed on to play a recurring role as a "hunky new teacher" at Richie's school, on The New Adventures of Old Christine. Underwood joined the cast after a pilot he was in, called Company Town, didn't get picked up by the networks. Most recently, Underwood co-starred in NBC's failed LAX with Heather Locklear. I swear, he doesn't look like he's aged a single day since he was on LA Law.

In other casting news, that really hot Brazilian actor from Love Actually is joining the cast of Lost. His name is Rodrigo Santoro and, in case the name and the reference don't ring any bells, he played the co-worker who had the hots for Laura Linney in the movie. Not sure what role he's playing on Lost, but then again I don't really want to know in case it ruins something.
