On my recent
visit to the set of Burn Notice, I had the pleasure of meeting the cast, including the irrepressible
Bruce Campbell, the plucky Gabrielle Anwar, and the fascinating star of the show, Jeffrey Donovan. They were all wonderful and I was thrilled to participate in a round-table interview with them. However, when I had the chance to shake the hand of
Sharon Gless, the Emmy-winning actress who starred in
Cagney & Lacey, The Trials of Rosie O'Neill and played amazing characters on
Queer as Folk and Nip/Tuck, I have to confess -- I gushed. I couldn't help it. She's Sharon Gless!
I discovered that as brilliant as she is a performer, Sharon Gless is also a class act with the media. She talked about another
Cagney & Lacey, Tyne Daly, acting, playing villains,
Kim Cattrall and much more. Read on and you'll see -- as I did -- why you'd gush to if you were face-to-face with Sharon Gless.

Kim Cattrall is hot. Hot as in busy as well as in looking good. She's also smart, funny, observant and remarkably candid. Recently, I spoke with her for TV Squad about
the success of the Sex & the City movie, her new
HBO project Sensitive Skin, and a whole lot of other things, including
Star Trek, aging, Universal TV in the 1970s and more.
Allison Waldman: When Sex & the City ended, you didn't want to do the movie. Now it's done and it's a huge success. Kim Cattrall: It's extraordinary. I look back four years ago when this was a runaway idea, I just did not feel ready to do it. We had reached such a high point, I wasn't sure I had anything else to say. I also had incredible personal challenges. My marriage was coming apart, also, my dad was diagnosed with dementia. I really needed a time out.
AW: How did the movie come back around?KC: Michael Patrick King called and said, 'I'm writing something and I think you're going to love it. ...I think you were right to say no when you did because of whatever reasons you had.' See, I had never been public about my reasons I felt that it was nobody's business.

It's a good week to be Kim Cattrall.
Sex and the City was the number one movie this weekend, and it was just announced that
Cattrall will star in Sensitive Skin, a new series for HBO. The actress is also serving as executive producer on the series, which is an adaptation of a BBC comedy.
Cattrall will play the role of a middle-aged wife and mother who, according to the character description, "rediscovers her sexuality and begins to question her place in the world." The American adaptation of
Sensitive Skin is set in New York. A middle-aged New Yorker exploring her sexuality--why does that sound familiar? The series is Cattrall's second post-
SATC project for HBO; she produced and starred in the 2005 documentary
Kim Cattrall: Sexual Intelligence.

Sex and the City goodness! This trailer, in HD format no less, not only confirms some of the spoilers that have been posted on the net over the past months, but also gives fans some fresh info about the four ladies.

It's been a little over two months since we last reported about the
Sex and the City movie here at TV Squad. Therefore, it is time to bring you up to speed with the latest happenings since the
first trailer was released in early December.
A few days ago, New Line Cinema, via their official
SatC blog, posted the
hi-res version teaser poster they released mid-January (see picture on the right) of the romantic comedy set to be released on May 30.

Santa has dropped an early Christmas gift for the
Sex and the City fans: the
first official trailer for the
movie! Sadly, it's a tiny 47-second gift that doesn't provide much insight in the four friends' lives especially for those of us who fed on
SatC spoilers since the movie was announced. The trailer is after the jump.
Don't get me wrong, it is a fashionable-looking trailer and it is really nice to see Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda still together but it doesn't provide much information on the movie other than the fact the ladies will be wearing various dresses and undergarments, that they will attend an auction, that Carrie will wear a wedding dress and that she still is with big. In fact, it's more a teaser than a trailer. Or maybe I'm just too spoiled on the subject! Let's hope the next trailers offer more for us to bite on.

SatC movie news are getting quite rare. Nonetheless, I roamed the web to find the latest happenings since mid-October.

Kim Cattrall is going to play her Samantha character from
Sex and the City until she dies, isn't she?
Nissan has pulled a new advertisement starring Kim Cattrall from New Zealand television, following complaints about its content. In the ad, Cattrall makes all sorts of sexually suggestive comments about the new Nissan Tiida, saying thinks like "It's so big!" and "That great body and the way you moved it." While the New Zealand censors approved of the ad, the public did not.

Kim Cattrall
has agreed to star in
Him and Us, a comedy for ABC that is being executive produced by Elton John. The series is about a gay British
rock star and his longtime manager. Cattrall will play the role of the manager, a role that was originally written for a
man but is being rewritten for Cattrall. Elton John says he's a huge fan of Cattrall, who played sex vixen Samantha on
Sex and the City.
Anthony Stewart Head, a British actor who most
recently appeared in
Doctor Who, is tapped for the lead role of the British rock star.
