Review: Dancing with the Stars - Performance 10 Results (season finale)

The final three are excited that they finished the group megamix.
(S09E21) Dancing with the Stars is down to three finalists, two hours, and one winner. We re-welcome the thirteen eliminated celebrities. Donny & Kym, Mya & Dmitry, and Kelly & Louis emerge from the other side of the stage and run past the eliminated contestants. Louis got a lot of butt slaps; he giggles and continues walking.

We get a recap of last night, ad in the middle of the recap we have the back of Miss Piggy's head. Was that the spaghetti cat of DWTS? The recap played again right after a commercial break.

The best part of the night wasn't the results, it was Miss Piggy laying the smackdown on Samantha Harris.

Recap: Dancing with the Stars - Performance 10

Mya hopes her Paso Doble can win her over.(S09E20) It's the finals of Dancing with the Stars and the trophy was placed in front of the judge's table. Tom announces that three couples have three new dances; technically Mya was part of Team Paso Doble in week seven.

The second round was the megamix, and I would rather have them return to the group dance-off format. The three couples dancing at the same time was too much to handle. I missed individuality.

I was very disappointed with the Freestyle round. There's free reign and it didn't seem like anyone even took it. I was expecting Kelly to rock out and Mya to pull off a tasteful hip-hop piece. Alas, I got neither.

Review: Dancing with the Stars - Performance 9 Results

The final four of Dancing with the Stars
(S09E19) It's been nine weeks on Dancing with the Stars and I didn't expect to see Joanna, Kelly, or Donny around this long. Unfortunately, one of them was eliminated.

For no reason, Melissa Rycroft showed up on this results show and slipped in the professional's performance. This was probably because her fans caused an uproar since she wasn't a candidate for the Design A Dance competition. Instead of "Sabrina was robbed" we got "Melissa was robbed," and ABC listened.

It was a busy show, but the elimination was not a shocker to me. By this point, fan support outweighs the judges scores.

Recap: Dancing with the Stars - Performance #9

Joanna and Derek dance(S9E18) For the first time in Dancing with the Stars history, the semifinalists have to dance three dances. Fortunately, their third dance was the dance-off they've been practicing for weeks. For the Latin dances, each of the contestants have to do a solo.

With next week being the finals, all the contestants are stressed and more emotional than normal. There were a lot of tears being held tonight.

As the contestants walked down, I couldn't help but gawk at how beautiful Kym Johnson looked in her tango costume. Unfortunately for her, it will probably lead to her and Donny's downfall.

Recap: Dancing with the Stars - Performance 8

Joanna & Derek's paso doble.(S09E16) Dancing with the Stars is only two weeks away from the finals. With only five contestants left, each have to perform two dances to ensure that we fit the two hour block.

The two dances consist of one ballroom and one Latin routine. The biggest flaw with having two dances was that everyone spent all their time making sure that the Latin dance was amazing, and their ballroom dances felt lazy.

I'm shocked to see the seven paddle still around with only five contestants left. This season's quality level was nowhere near Shawn Johnson, Gilles Marini, and Melissa Rycroft last season.

Recap: Dancing with the Stars - Performance #7

Mya and Dmitry end their performance with a silhouette.(S09E14) It's week seven of Dancing with the Stars, and the pressure is on. Lacey Schwimmer was the victim of a cold; Anna Trebunskya has stepped in to help Mark Dacascos. The other victims tonight were the professionals who were forced to wear costumes designed by the celebrities. While it worked for Kelly, it backfired on Joanna.

You know that there will be longer commercials between performances when you get a professional opening sequence. Five professionals and one woman who wasn't named performed a tango and paso doble. The dance was supposed to be an example of teamwork, but the paso and tango was also not as synchronized as I expected.

Dancing with the Stars: Performance 3

Cheryl Burke and Tom DeLay on Dancing with the Stars(S9E06) I welcomed the return of Len Goodman on Dancing with the Stars because he separated the scores of the dances, by giving good performances two points less than they actually deserved. This week was a full Latin night with the Samba and Rumba.

When Chuck walked down the stairs I couldn't help but laugh at his arm frill, but Cheryl and Tom DeLay walked down as the American flag. I was laughing so hard that I didn't even notice that Debi's outfit killed all of Aaron Carter's Muppets.

There has been some drama with Tom DeLay's feet. Find out after the jump what happened to him.

Dancing with the Stars: Performance 2

Melissa Joan Hart makes a funny face before starting her performance.(S09E04) We had three dances on Dancing with the Stars: Jive, Tango, and Quickstep. It's a good change from having two dances back to back to having three different styles. The dancers had about 57 seconds to impress the judges and America. If anyone counted, we had less than 14 minutes of dance for a two hour show (about 80 minutes without commercials).

To soften the harshness of week two, Baz Lurhmann replaced Len Goodman, giving Len time from traveling between this show and British counterpart Strictly Come Dancing. He mostly used the term "Uncle Len" and graded dancers with sevens. Still, he was better than Michael Flatley.

Ranking the DWTS season nine contestants

Louie Vito and Chelsie Hightower dance
After one week of competition, it's easy to see which celebrities on Dancing with the Stars have the potential to go all the way and which will barely squeak past week two. It wasn't a shock having either Macy Gray or Ashley Hamilton eliminated week one.

If this season's contestants follow the trend of celebrities before them, one can figure out how they will fare this year. There are some small wrenches like new dances (Bolero, Lambada, Charleston, and Two Step) and the return of the face-off. Combining previous contestants' performances with this year's first week, I've compiled where everyone stands.

Sharon Osbourne talks Osbournes: Reloaded

Sharon OsbourneFor those who might think the new Osbournes: Reloaded variety show is a quick-fix, six-episode ratings boost, think again. Reloaded, which premieres Tuesday at 9PM on Fox, was two years in the making. According to Sharon Osbourne, who spoke with reporters via a conference call Thursday, the family was given a somewhat open-ended invitation to return to television, and they wanted to make sure they picked the right project.

They cycled through a few options, rejecting most of them, including one idea that will be a smaller part of the finished product. "It was going around the country just looking for other Osbournes, and I was like, I don't think so," Sharon told the group. "But we did keep that as a segment on the show."

Kelly Osbourne makes PETA angry

First, she goes to rehab. Then, her ABC soap-drama life as we know it gets cancelled. And now she's got to face the wrath of PETA. Does the bad press ever end for Kelly Osbourne? The animal rights organization is coming down on Ozzy's middle child for reportedly dying her dog's fur pink - most likely to match her own, uh, "punk-inspired" look. A PETA spokesperson said, "It is very irresponsible to subject a 13-week-old puppy to chemicals that most people aren't willing to put on their heads." But did anybody stop to think about what the dog wants? What does the dog want?!?!?!!!
