(S01E18) That's it.
Gossip Girl is done for the 2007-2008 season.
The show's season finale left me on my appetite. It didn't end with a huge bang, it didn't left me with tons of questions I wanted answered now, it didn't make me want to rush to the water cooler to chat about it with my friends. Actually, it made me wish that the series had concluded its first season with "
All About My Brother," an episode that ended with a huge bang and would have served as a better season finale.

(S01E17) "We're here to help Serena no matter what the problem is." - BlairAfter a "wow"
episode last week, expectations (at least mine) for this week were pretty high. I had loads of questions about the video and hoped that answers would be giving in "Woman on the Verge." The episode definitely met my expectations and set the scene for what could be an action and drama packed season finale next week.
What I liked most about this week's episode is the "no matter what" friendship seen between Chuck, Nate, Blair and Serena. They were able to put their problems aside and work together. As the saying says, "A friend in need is a friend indeed." The quartet definitely proved that saying this week.

After such an episode, I think the only thing we can say is "
OMFG."

It's that time of the year again. Time to put away the bathing suits, winterize the boats, and start thinking about getting the big coats out of the back of the closets, at least up here in the Jet City. While it will be sad to see those long summer days fade into fall, the silver lining is a truckload of new and returning shows, all set to debut.
One of the first out of the gate is
Gossip Girl, which premieres next Wednesday at 9 on The CW. They were nice enough to send a copy of the pilot over to TV Squad HQ, and I couldn't resist the possibility of a good teen drama, so here is an early look at what the fifth network has cooking.

The CW's got some funny sitcoms both old (Everybody Hates Chris) and new (Aliens in America -- more on that later), but the network's funniest asset is Paul McGuire, executive vice president, network communications.
Before introducing Dawn Ostroff, president entertainment, The CW, McGuire fires off some zingers to get the reporters up and running.
Of the recycled tote bags that The CW gave to the press (perfect for hauling all our cable swag home), McGuire quips, "They're made entirely from recycled billboards, including some from Hidden Palms -- or as some dirt bag reporter called it -- 'Hidden Ratings.'"
