When I posted
the news items that came out of Showtime's portion of the CBS tour, the one question I got was "When will
Dexter be back?" Well, network president Robert Greenblatt mentioned that the third season would debut in September. No word beyond that. Didn't seem like news to me. But there you are,
Dexter fans; that's all I've got on that.
The executive session was introduced by a semi-funny clip from one of the network's stars, Tracey Ullman. Really, it wasn't that good, so I won't talk much about it here. Greenblatt also showed clips of
The United States of Tara and
Nurse Jackie during his opening remarks. Other than that? Well, isn't that enough?

Weeds began it's fourth season Monday night on Showtime and showrunner
Jenji Kohan told E! Online that she's thinking about doing a Weeds spin-off. The possible spin-off would focus on Conrad's story and take place in a pot club. Kohan explains that it was time to split up Nancy and Conrad but she still felt like Conrad's story was compelling: "I love those characters; I just think those relationships wore themselves out, and I wanted to be true to where the characters were. Truthfully, Heylia and Nancy had nothing more to say to each other. Conrad and Nancy weren't going to be the loves of each other's lives, so it was time to move on."
As for the style of the spin-off, Jenji Kohan has a good idea of what she wants the show to look like. "I'd shoot it sort of fake reality-show style. It could be pretty like
The Hills!," she says. While
The Hills is indeed a "pretty" show, I think comparing the
Weeds spin-off to
The Hills is a downgrade for me. I'm just going to pretend it didn't happen.

(S03E07) Weeds apparently took a note from
Californication's extraneous nudity, plentiful sex playbook. This episode was all about the humping as one arc ended and another began. As Conrad and Nancy's debt is laid to rest, Peter's body rises from the muck.

(S01E05) I bet you guys think critical thinking is whack. Well, it is. Why think when you could just watch
The Secret? Some of Agrestic's residents must be watching
The Secret. Celia got a brand new house. Doug got a golf membership. Sullivan got his way. Silas got a a new calling. And, Andy (aka Bill Sussman) got let off the hook. The only person not exercising the
"laws of attraction" seems to be Nancy. All Nancy got was a great big pile of smack to sit on.
