What do you do if you're dad is a wrestling icon, your mom is a cougar dating a man the same age as you, and
your little brother is in jail for reckless driving? You get
your own reality show, of course. And who's reality is more messed up than Brooke Hogan's right now? She's surprisingly the most normal of that bunch.
Her new show,
Brooke Knows Best, premieres this Sunday July 13th at 10 p.m. ET / PT. That's right after
I Love Money!
I've got a sneak peek at the first episode after the jump...

Now, that
Nick Hogan is cozied up in a new cell for his prison sentence,
his father might be joining him. VH1's Matthew Muro is reporting that Linda Hogan, the Hulkster's estranged wife, wants to send the former pro-wrestler to jail for not paying his portion of a Las Vegas condo, a property worth 4.2 milion dollars. If Linda gets her wishes, Hulk Hogan would be put in Pinellas County Jail in Florida, the very same jail that holds his son.
VH1 offers the following as reasons why Hulk has not paid his bills: "Is he short on cash? Probably not. Is he planning to hit the slammer intentionally to protect little Nick? No way. Or could it be that he's trying to cut off Linda's cash flow so that she can't lavish any more gifts on her 19-year-old boy toy? Bingo!!"

The Hulkster's son, in jail for a driving accident that put his friend in a coma, just got moved last Friday into a new jail cell. He was serving
his eight-month prison sentence in solitary confinement after pleading no contest to the three charges: reckless driving, drunk driving, and having tinted windows on his Supra.
In a conversation with his mother, Linda Hogan, Nick (real last name Bollea) described the jail cell as half the size of his bathroom with no windows. According to
Nancy Grace, the cell measures 12 X 16. Nick's new digs include a cable television, unlimited phone use, a snack bar, and three other juvenille inmates. According to the Sherrif's office, he was being held in solitary confinement becuase he is seventeen and therefore too young to be with the rest of the criminal population. His lawyers apparently
filed a lawsuit against the sheriff's office saying that the decision to keep their client in solitary confinement is a violation of his privacy.
What do you think? Should Nick have stayed in solitary confinement until July 27th, his eighteenth birthday?

Some serious cross-promotion will take place on the June 9 episode of
American Gladiators.
NBC is airing a special
Incredible Hulk-themed installment of the series known for its muscle-bound warriors decked out in spandex and oil.
The Incredible Hulk feature film, directed by Louis Leterrier and starring Edward Norton, Liv Tyler, Tim Roth and William Hurt, hits theaters four days later on June 13.
The
Gladiators episode will feature guest star
Lou Ferrigno (who played the green guy on the 1970s TV series) sharing the spotlight with host
Hulk Hogan.

On Friday I attended the All-American Summer Press Event held by NBC Universal. The event was held at the Langham Hotel (formerly the Ritz-Carlton) in Pasadena, CA. It included the casts and producers of the following shows:
American Gladiators,
Nashville Star, Shear Genius, and
Last Comic Standing. NBC also held panels for two new shows:
Celebrity Circus and
Baby Borrowers.
Find out what Wolf said and what's in store for next season on NBC and Bravo after the jump...

Last night was the grand finale of NBC's remake of
American Gladiators. Hosted by former WWE Champion Hulk Hogan and professional boxer turned
Dancing with the Stars contestant Laila Ali, contenders faced off gladiators in events such as Joust, Power Ball, Pyramid, Hang Tough, etc.
The finale crowned a female and a male champion who each won $100,000, a car, and a position as one of the gladiators in the series' second season.

The Hulkster's soon-to-be-ex is accusing him of
trying to pull a fast one on her. Linda Hogan has requested that the judge freeze Hulk Hogan's (real name: Terry Bollea) assets to prevent him from spending the proceeds from the sale of the couple's ten million dollar mansion. She goes further to claim that Terry is trying to dupe her out of other assets from "legal shenanigans".
Hogan is best known as the professional wrestling icon of the 80's. The couple appeared together on the VH1 reality television series
Hogan Knows Best. Hulk Hogan can currently be seen on television hosting NBC's
American Gladiators.

That didn't take long. Apparently, the absence of new
Two and a Half Men episodes lead to the
American Gladiator premiere getting the highest ratings of any new show this season, and an average of 12 million viewers sampling the first two episodes. All of this is enough for "starving-for-a-hit" NBC to
sign up the competition show for another season. If the solid ratings continue, I'd look for NBC to go all
Who Wants to be a Millionaire? with it and put it on every night of the week, sandwiched around new episodes of
Deal or No Deal.
No word yet on when the new season will begin (this debut season is a short one wrapping next month) or how many episodes have been ordered, but this means it's not too late for me to try out to be on the show. Or better yet, if I start working out now, maybe I can be the thirteenth Gladiator. My Gladiator name will be Pudge, and luckily the giant cotton swab is already my weapon of choice in melee combat.

NBC unveiled its schedule for the new year and, with scripted episodes becoming scarce, it is predictably heavier on the reality side. Joining existing shows Deal or No Deal and The Singing Bee are the returning 1 vs. 100, The Biggest Loser and The Apprentice. Returning after almost fifteen years, wrestling legend Hulk Hogan hosts American Gladiators. In it, eight "gladiators" face competition from everyday joes like you and me in a variety of physical challenges. Of course, when I say "like you and me" I mean you. Me they'd snap in half but I got a good feeling about you. I think you can take 'em. Now get in there, tiger!

At the age of 54, it looks like the Hulkster is on the market again after twenty-plus years. According to MSNBC, Hulk Hogan's wife filed for divorce. To make matters even worse, apparently he didn't even find out until the reporter investigating the story told him that the paperwork had been submitted to a Florida court.
In their VH1 reality TV series Hogan Knows Best, Hulk Hogan (real name Terry Bollea) and his wife Linda attended couple's counseling. On the show, they appeared to reconcile. This is why reality TV should in no way be confused with real life.

$25 million may seem like a lot of money to pay for the home of a former wrestler. Until you hear a little bit more about it. According to the St. Petersburg Times:
"The roof tiles are imported from France. The floors are center-cut oak that's hand-carved in a basketweave pattern. The windows are handmade leaded glass. The kitchen has custom copper sinks, hand-carved limestone and steel countertops, and a fireplace, one of seven in the 17,000-square-foot house."That's mighty extravagant, Hulk. The grounds are 2.3 acres overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway. Hulk and the fam damily moved to Miami Beach last month. The home is actually appraised at $6.4 million (with $126,000 in property taxes last year!), but Hulk's real estate agent evidently thinks his celebrity is big enough to push that price up nearly $20 million.

So, this is the second Monday morning (er, is 11:35 a.m. morning?) that I've woke up to find that there is no new episode of
Hogan Knows Best on my DVR. No, it's not the end of the world, but the Hulkster and his brethren are definitely a guilty pleasure of mine. As the Macho Man would say (circa 1986), "Hogan. You better get in the ring. Yeaaaaah, oh yeah." I'm not the Macho Man, so I googled the Hulkster and couldn't find much on the future of the show. I found one website (but not a reliable one) that said VH1 is definitely bringing them back for a season 2, but I had trouble finding verification on the
VH1 site or any other site for that matter. It is also not explained on the VH1 site, why the show just ended without any sort of season finale. In fact, the last episode to air was sort of a clunker, "Hulk's Hobbies." Call me old fashion, but I need some sort of a climax. But in my quest, I stumbled across the
Hogan family bio page. The Hulkster's bio is understandably long. So is Linda's, who hasn't done much outside of the home, but deserves a long bio nevertheless. Brooke's bio is long and a bit flowery -- "strikingly gorgeous with piercing green eyes and long blonde hair." (Um, yeah, the whole family looks like that.) But check out Nick's bio. It sucks. It's not even a fourth of the length of every else's. Plus, most of his bio refers back to his dad and his sister. They don't even mention how funny Nick is. Come on, somebody give this poor kid some attention before he ends up with a hooker and cocaine habit.
