Brooke Knows Best ... not Hulkster - VIDEO

Brooke Hogan frolicks on the beach. What do you do if you're dad is a wrestling icon, your mom is a cougar dating a man the same age as you, and your little brother is in jail for reckless driving? You get your own reality show, of course. And who's reality is more messed up than Brooke Hogan's right now? She's surprisingly the most normal of that bunch.

Her new show, Brooke Knows Best, premieres this Sunday July 13th at 10 p.m. ET / PT. That's right after I Love Money!

I've got a sneak peek at the first episode after the jump...

Hulk Hogan to join his son in jail?

Hulk HoganNow, that Nick Hogan is cozied up in a new cell for his prison sentence, his father might be joining him. VH1's Matthew Muro is reporting that Linda Hogan, the Hulkster's estranged wife, wants to send the former pro-wrestler to jail for not paying his portion of a Las Vegas condo, a property worth 4.2 milion dollars. If Linda gets her wishes, Hulk Hogan would be put in Pinellas County Jail in Florida, the very same jail that holds his son.

VH1 offers the following as reasons why Hulk has not paid his bills: "Is he short on cash? Probably not. Is he planning to hit the slammer intentionally to protect little Nick? No way. Or could it be that he's trying to cut off Linda's cash flow so that she can't lavish any more gifts on her 19-year-old boy toy? Bingo!!"

Should Nick Hogan have been moved to a new jail cell?

Nick Bollea HoganThe Hulkster's son, in jail for a driving accident that put his friend in a coma, just got moved last Friday into a new jail cell. He was serving his eight-month prison sentence in solitary confinement after pleading no contest to the three charges: reckless driving, drunk driving, and having tinted windows on his Supra.

In a conversation with his mother, Linda Hogan, Nick (real last name Bollea) described the jail cell as half the size of his bathroom with no windows. According to Nancy Grace, the cell measures 12 X 16. Nick's new digs include a cable television, unlimited phone use, a snack bar, and three other juvenille inmates. According to the Sherrif's office, he was being held in solitary confinement becuase he is seventeen and therefore too young to be with the rest of the criminal population. His lawyers apparently filed a lawsuit against the sheriff's office saying that the decision to keep their client in solitary confinement is a violation of his privacy.

What do you think? Should Nick have stayed in solitary confinement until July 27th, his eighteenth birthday?

Here are the "stars" signed for Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Wrestling

DiamondWhat do you get when you mix Dustin Diamond, Danny Bonaduce, and Todd Bridges? Well, probably the worst references ever, but beyond that, you get the cast of the new CMT celebrity reality show Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling.

The three men will join other celebs such as Tiffany, Butterbean (?), Trishelle Canatella (from The Real World - God help us), Nikki Ziering, and Frank Stallone (Sylvester's brother), who will try to out-wrestle each other. Actually, it won't be all wrestling. They will also get points for trash talking and working the audience, just like in real wrestling!

It's Hulkamania for American Gladiators

The Incredible HulkSome serious cross-promotion will take place on the June 9 episode of American Gladiators. NBC is airing a special Incredible Hulk-themed installment of the series known for its muscle-bound warriors decked out in spandex and oil.

The Incredible Hulk
feature film, directed by Louis Leterrier and starring Edward Norton, Liv Tyler, Tim Roth and William Hurt, hits theaters four days later on June 13.

The Gladiators episode will feature guest star Lou Ferrigno (who played the green guy on the 1970s TV series) sharing the spotlight with host Hulk Hogan.

NBC Summer Press Event report

On Friday I attended the All-American Summer Press Event held by NBC Universal. The event was held at the Langham Hotel (formerly the Ritz-Carlton) in Pasadena, CA. It included the casts and producers of the following shows: American Gladiators, Nashville Star, Shear Genius, and Last Comic Standing. NBC also held panels for two new shows: Celebrity Circus and Baby Borrowers.

Find out what Wolf said and what's in store for next season on NBC and Bravo after the jump...

Hulk Hogan wants celebrities to wrestle

Hulk HoganThis idea could be great (like MTV's Celebrity Deathmatch come to life) or it could be the stupidest thing ever. I'm guessing it's somewhere in between.

CMT has announced that Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling will debut this fall. The show will pit two celebrities against each other, and they are trained for the match by former wrestlers. Hogan himself will act as one of the judges. Hogan is becoming quite the media king. Besides this show he hosts NBC's American Gladiators and has the VH1 reality show Hogan Knows Best. By the way, this show was co-created by Eric Bischoff and Jason Hervey, who played Wayne on The Wonder Years.

I can assume that when they say "celebrities" that it's a safe bet we won't see Julia Roberts or George Clooney in the ring. I would guess it would lean more towards Dustin Diamond, Tonya Harding, and whatever reality show has been from The Bachelor or Temptation Island needs a paycheck that week.

American Gladiators crowns new winners

American GladiatorsLast night was the grand finale of NBC's remake of American Gladiators. Hosted by former WWE Champion Hulk Hogan and professional boxer turned Dancing with the Stars contestant Laila Ali, contenders faced off gladiators in events such as Joust, Power Ball, Pyramid, Hang Tough, etc.

The finale crowned a female and a male champion who each won $100,000, a car, and a position as one of the gladiators in the series' second season.

'Shenanigans' claimed in Hogan divorce

Hulk Hogan and Linda HoganThe Hulkster's soon-to-be-ex is accusing him of trying to pull a fast one on her. Linda Hogan has requested that the judge freeze Hulk Hogan's (real name: Terry Bollea) assets to prevent him from spending the proceeds from the sale of the couple's ten million dollar mansion. She goes further to claim that Terry is trying to dupe her out of other assets from "legal shenanigans".

Hogan is best known as the professional wrestling icon of the 80's. The couple appeared together on the VH1 reality television series Hogan Knows Best. Hulk Hogan can currently be seen on television hosting NBC's American Gladiators.

American Gladiators renewed already?!

StealthThat didn't take long. Apparently, the absence of new Two and a Half Men episodes lead to the American Gladiator premiere getting the highest ratings of any new show this season, and an average of 12 million viewers sampling the first two episodes. All of this is enough for "starving-for-a-hit" NBC to sign up the competition show for another season. If the solid ratings continue, I'd look for NBC to go all Who Wants to be a Millionaire? with it and put it on every night of the week, sandwiched around new episodes of Deal or No Deal.

No word yet on when the new season will begin (this debut season is a short one wrapping next month) or how many episodes have been ordered, but this means it's not too late for me to try out to be on the show. Or better yet, if I start working out now, maybe I can be the thirteenth Gladiator. My Gladiator name will be Pudge, and luckily the giant cotton swab is already my weapon of choice in melee combat.

Hulk Hogan wants Rosie O'Donnell to be pummeled

RosieYes, that's a very weird headline.

During a press conference for the new "why oh why are they bringing that back?!" NBC version of American Gladiators, former wrestler and current reality show star Hulk Hogan was asked which celeb he'd like to see on the new game show, and Hogan said "Without a doubt, Rosie O'Donnell. Somebody needs to shut that big mouth up." O'Donnell heard about the suggestion, and wrote about it on her blog (can't find the exact entry, and there's no way I'm slogging through her videos and poetry).

NBC getting more real in the new year

Hogan Knows BestNBC unveiled its schedule for the new year and, with scripted episodes becoming scarce, it is predictably heavier on the reality side. Joining existing shows Deal or No Deal and The Singing Bee are the returning 1 vs. 100, The Biggest Loser and The Apprentice. Returning after almost fifteen years, wrestling legend Hulk Hogan hosts American Gladiators. In it, eight "gladiators" face competition from everyday joes like you and me in a variety of physical challenges. Of course, when I say "like you and me" I mean you. Me they'd snap in half but I got a good feeling about you. I think you can take 'em. Now get in there, tiger!

Hulk Hogan's wife files for divorce

Hulk Hogan and his soon-to-be-ex-wife LindaAt the age of 54, it looks like the Hulkster is on the market again after twenty-plus years. According to MSNBC, Hulk Hogan's wife filed for divorce. To make matters even worse, apparently he didn't even find out until the reporter investigating the story told him that the paperwork had been submitted to a Florida court.

In their VH1 reality TV series Hogan Knows Best, Hulk Hogan (real name Terry Bollea) and his wife Linda attended couple's counseling. On the show, they appeared to reconcile. This is why reality TV should in no way be confused with real life.

Hulk Hogan's son arrested

Nick BolleaThis isn't because of a new incident, it's for an old one. Nick Bollea, the 17 year-old son of wrestler/reality show star Hulk Hogan, turned himself in to Florida police earlier today and charged with reckless driving.

The accident Bollea was arrested for occurred on August 26. Bollea was racing his Toyota Supra against a Dodge Viper when he lost control and crashed into a palm tree. The family says that Bollea wasn't speeding, though I don't know what their explanation for the accident would be other than "we are confident that the evidence will demonstrate that this was an accident." Bollea was also charged with having tinted windows and having a blood alcohol level of .02 or higher.

Bollea's friend, Nick Graziano, was in the passenger seat, and was critically injured. He remains in a coma.

Hulk Hogan's son seriously injured in car crash

Nick HoganNick Hogan, whose real name is Nick Bollea, was seriously injured in a car crash in Clearwater, FL. TMZ has pictures of the car here. The car hit the median, flipped over, and then hit a tree. There was another passenger in the car and that man is also in serious condition. Both were flown to the hospital by helicopter.

Hogan, 17, is the son of wrestling icon Hulk Hogan and stars with his dad and other family members on the VH-1 reality show Hogan Knows Best, which is currently in its fourth season. There's no word yet on what caused the accident, but police believe the car was traveling at a high rate of speed.

This isn't the first time he has been in an accident. Hogan was driving a sports car that caught fire in Miami last year.
