A good show can keep you so entertained that you're willing to fight sleep to watch the rest of it. A great show physically keeps you awake.
It gets into your bloodstream and forces more adrenaline into your heart.
It turns the synapses in your brain into ferrets on espresso that dash back and forth between the lobes and fires your mind on all of its cylinders.
It is visual cocaine, which is much healthier than actual cocaine and doesn't require a frequent visitor punch card for an eyes, ears, nose and throat doctor.
These are the shows that assault all five of the senses or less depending on how good of a health plan you've got.

A day hasn't gone by where we haven't received some sort of tip or email asking us, the TV Squad, how to get on [insert reality show here]. Unfortunately no, Simon Cowell does not work for us, and Donald Trump isn't my BFF, so we really can't help all that much.
The folks at RealityWanted.com often send us a list of new and existing reality shows that are looking for new, er, talent, and they've given us permission to make mention of them here. We'll try to make this a regular feature as often as we get a new list.
This time we have America's Next Top Model, Don't Forget the Lyrics and a lot of new shows.

"We wanted to show all of the fun of
Fear Factor, but none of the gross," says executive producer Matt Kunitz of
WipeOut.
ABC's new summer reality series will feature 24 contestants who race on the world's largest extreme obstacle course. Now, this isn't like
American Gladiators.
WipeOut, hosted by John Henson (
Talk Soup) and John Anderson (
SportsCenter), wanted average people to compete on their show. Kunitz says that he specifically didn't want any extreme athletes. Somewhere
Bam Margera and
Steve-O are crying.
Mahalo Daily took a trip to the gigantic set of ABC's new summer show. That day, they were testing the storm simulator. It costs $100,000 just to turn on. Mahalo Daily also talked to the casting director (for those of you who are interested in trying out for season two). The video is after the jump.
WipeOut premieres tonight at 8:00 p.m. ET / PT on ABC. Will you be tuning in?

The New York Post reports that
Fear Factor host Joe Rogan got into a fist fight with guest Jonathan Baker, who was once a contestant on
The Amazing Race and was filming an episode of Rogan's NBC reality game show. The paper reports that during a stunt involving alligators, Baker's
Playboy model wife was yelled at by Johnny "Fairplay" Dalton from
Survivor (ugh, what a horrible episode of
Fear Factor this must be), and then when Baker tried to stick up for his wife, Rogan punched him a couple of times.
Fear Factor executive producer Matt Kunitz admits there was a confrontation, and there is even a clip of the fight on the
Fear Factor site.
Check it out (video on upper left). I can't get it to work, but there is audio and pics at
Baker's official site.
(P.S. I wonder if this was a real fight, or just publicity for the show, which happens to return on June 13?)
