(S15E11) Next week is the big season finale of
The Amazing Race. But this week the last four teams have to battle it out for the prized final three slots racing for the finish line. So, you would think this is the time to put on the big boy (or girl) pants, step up to the plate, give it your all, and a thousand other corny trite sayings. Alas, one team tonight has a huge fail. Of all the legs to fall apart and go kerflooey, this one so near the finale is cruel indeed. Too bad, so sad.

Does it seem like every other month there's some talk about the proposed
Arrested Development movie? Perhaps that's because it's an idea that simply won't go away until the film is actually in theaters and fans of the Emmy-winning Fox series will finally be satisfied. Well, satisfaction may be just around the corner. The
Arrested Development movie is really developing now. Creator
Mitchell Hurwitz is at work on the screenplay -- working with co-executive producer James Vallely -- and the Bluths are creeping closer to big screen reality.

Did you see Kristin Chenoweth on
Glee the other night? Fully recovered from her
migraine the night that she won the Emmy for Pushing Daisies, the prolific Kristin Chenoweth talked about the appearance on
Glee -- including an
interview with Nick the other day -- and she was enthusiastic about it.
She said it was a blast playing a character as wild as
April Rhodes. She liked it so much,
Kristin would like to make Glee a permanent thing. Or at least be asked back for future guest appearances.
She may get her wish. Kristin told TV Guide, "Ryan Murphy, the creator and genius behind
Glee, has indicated that he'd love for April to come back some time. However, they are all working hard to figure out stories all the time. It'd be great for it to make sense for her to come back."

(S14E12) "You need to tell your people that I'm not their personal concierge and I don't have time to look for the place they want to go." -- Taxi dispatcher to Jaime and Cara's cab driver
Now, that was such a fine moment in tonight's season finale of
The Amazing Race! Who would have thought that an unknown female voice would deliver the best line of the season? If I had to wager beforehand, I think I would have said Mel White had some of the best lines this season. Kudos to the dispatcher ... she rules!

(S14E11) Last week, the four teams remaining on
The Amazing Race were still in China when Phil gave them the news -- "This leg isn't over." I'll admit to snickering a bit because Cara and Jaime were so excited to finally make a first place finish. It's my evil side. Or, perhaps it's karma. After all, they've been the epitome of Ugly Americans to the point of name-calling just because folks in another country may not know English. While Tammy and Victor have the advantage of knowing Mandarin Chinese, a lot still depends on taxis and common sense.

(S14E09) Promos for tonight's
The Amazing Race made it look like there might be a knock-down drag-out fight between Jen (of Kisha and Jen) and Luke (Margie and Luke, naturally). Now, there's nothing that can make an interesting show even more interesting than an old-fashioned brouhaha. At least, not in my book, there isn't.
So, I'm thinking ... Luke versus Jen. Which one would I put my money on for the win? I'd have to go with Jen. While Luke throws a good hissy-fit, I think she's not one he should take on. Maybe if it were a hissy-fit brouhaha, Luke would have the edge.

(S14E01) Tonight's season premiere of
The Amazing Race shows how to do a reality show the right way. Exciting, entertaining, teams to both hate and love, plus a whole lot of stunning scenery. I've long contended that this show is the best reality show on television. It consistently wins Emmy Awards. Hey,
American Idol ... what have you done for us lately? What? Eliminated Jamar and kept Tatiana and Nathaniel? Feh. Give me
The Amazing Race any day instead! I mean ... we're talking adrenalin rushes, excitement, flying wheels of cheese, and bungee jumping in the Alps! It beats drama queens no holds barred.

A couple of months back, in the midst of
Project Runway leaving -- or trying to leave -- Bravo for Lifetime, a rumor was floated that Kathy Griffin wasn't sure about returning her show to Bravo as well. As a loyal and happy watcher of
Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List, I was concerned. Fortunately, the rumor has turned out to be just that.
Bravo announced that it has locked up Kathy Griffin to a new, one-year deal.
It includes the fifth season for
My Life, another edition of
Bravo's A-List Awards with KG as the hostess, and two new comedy specials from the Emmy-winning D-lister. Excuse me while I pause to react -- YIPPEE!
