(S06E06) "Aren't you glad I'm not crazy anymore?" - Katherine to Susan
To our pleasure and amusement, Katherine
is still crazy and maybe even more than before. She is so deeply in denial that she can't see the truth anymore and thinks her make-believe world is accurate.
I've had to teach a teen who was in such a denial a few years back -- he was making up all sort of lies to hide the fact that things weren't going well at home, so he made up this "other and better" life. I can tell you that it's extremely difficult to help the person come back to reality and also to differentiate if what they tell us is true or false, since they are really convincing as, to them, their world is accurate. It needs a lot of therapy to help someone like that come back to reality.
Since Katherine is not getting the help she needs to deal with her denial, fantasies and problems, she will keep plotting to get Mike back and hurt people in the process, including herself. It won't be pretty when she'll hit rock bottom.

(S06E05) "You seem like a nice lady. Don't you ever feel guilty?" - The maid to Bree This week's episode was pretty much what I call a "filler episode". Yes, there was some progress in the storylines but if someone missed this week's installment of
Desperate Housewives, they won't be totally lost next week.
Even if "Everybody Ought to Have a Maid" wasn't the best
DH episode so far this season, I did enjoy the dialog between Bree and the maid concerning Bree's affair with Karl, as well as Julie's return home after two weeks in the hospital, especially since her return meant that she would run into Nick eventually.

(S06E04) "Even the people we love keep secrets." - Mary Alice Mary Alice probably told us twice a season in her narration that people on Wisteria Lane had secrets. This week's
Desperate Housewives main secrets involve: the Bolens are afraid Danny will spill out their secrets and we learn a bit more about Angie's scar; thanks to Andrew, Susan learns some of Julie's secrets; Lynette tries to hide her secret from Carlos but the body changes pregnant women experience are making it more difficult for her to hide her pregnancy; Bree lies to Katherine so that the latter doesn't discover the affair with Karl.

(S06E03) "You wanted to look pretty for your ex-lover." - Carlos to Gaby
As advertised on most TV sites over the past few weeks, the cutie gardener and Gaby's ex-lover is back! John Rowland, whom we last saw in season four married to a rich daddy's girl, returned to Wisteria Lane this week to cause chaos.
Is John still married? Did he try to seduce Gaby or another Wisteria Lane citizen? Answers coming up after the jump, along with my take on John's return, which was first rumored to happen in the season five finale.

(S06E02) "She's like the nicest girl in the world. Who'd want to hurt her?" - Wisteria Lane residents as they learn about Julie
It's the day after Susan and Mike's wedding, but also the day after Julie got attack by an unknown assailant. The Wisteria Lane residents quickly gather on the scene and try to make sense of it all. Who would hurt the nicest young adult female on the street?
As expected, fingers are quickly pointed in Danny Bolen's direction. But did he do it? Detectives, as well as the Wisteria Lane men and us, loyal
Desperate Housewives viewers, are on the case.

(S06E01) "Just last month, she took something of mine." - The woman who didn't get Mike about the woman who did get him
Finally! We learned who Mike married
in the season finale and, luckily, we didn't have to wait long to get the answer, as it was revealed within the first minute. Then again, if you read ABC's official description for the fourth episode of the season over the weekend, they spoiled the first scene for you, as they clearly stated whom Mike didn't marry.
I don't get why ABC couldn't be cryptic in their description or at least wait until tomorrow before releasing it, especially since they have been trying very hard to keep the name of the bride a secret.

(S05E23 / S05E24) "Isn't it just easier to shut down your hoo-ha until he gives in?" Gaby, offering Lynette her method for getting Tom to give up the idea of going back to collegeWell, season five of
Desperate Housewives has come to a close. I must say, this season sort of meandered towards the beginning, but really gained steam towards the end. The final episode brought a few stories together, including psycho Dave's, and ended with some good stories heading into next season.

(S05E21) "This is going to come out of nowhere but ..." - Jackson to SusanAs you know, actor Gale Harold, who plays Jackson, had a terrible accident last fall and had to be written out of the show so that the actor could recover from his injuries. The writers decided to have Jackson get a job outside of town. Except for learning that Jackson asked Susan to move away with him, we haven't heard much from the character and his relationship with Susan since then. My brain doesn't recall Susan clearly stating that things were over between Jackson and her, and we haven't seen her date since Jackson skipped town. Therefore, I've sort of been thinking they were doing the long-distance thing or still wondering where things stood between them.
When the actor got back in shape and was able to return to the set, the writers wrote him back in, and this week's episode marked his unexpected return. Jackson arrived with a question, helped give us answers as to where his relationship with Susan stood, and gave Dave a good reason to be scared.

(S05E08) "Hang in there. I'm not done with you yet." - DaveThere you have it, people. The most advertised episode of ABC's
Desperate Housewives so far this season (we first heard about it in August) has finally aired. Even if I was entertained by Julie's return, Anne's storyline, Lee's joy after hearing dirt about Bree, and Virgina's antics, it was once again Dave's storyline that got my full attention. How should we interpret the new clues we were given thanks to Dr. Heller visiting Wisteria Lane?

Felicity Huffman and
Doug Savant are on plenty of DVRs via
Desperate Housewives, but did you ever wonder what's on
their DVRs? You might be surprised! Huffman has goofier programs than I would have expected.
We've got the exclusive video scoop for you after the cut, when Huffman and Savant sat down and interviewed each other, based on questions
submitted by TV Squad readers for AOL's video interview feature,
Outside the Box.

(S05E04) "Orson, we're partners. We share everything. Any success I have is just as much yours as it is mine." - BreeIt's no secret Bree is my favorite character. Yet, I didn't enjoy this week's Bree-centric episode that much. It wasn't bad but it's not one of the episodes I'll watch again. I get why Bree told Orson that they share everything and that any success she has is also his; after all, they are husband and wife. But what is Orson's share of Bree's success? He wasn't there when she launched the company and worked hard to make it successful. Does he really deserve a "we were named business woman of the year"?

Desperate Housewives fans had a lot of questions after last season's shocking fast-forward finale (what the *$#@ happened to Mike, for one). Now, AOL TV is gathering those questions and will pose them to stars Felicity Huffman and Doug Savant as part of its upcoming "Outside the Box" video interview series.
In the season finale, Lynette and Tom sent his trouble daughter, Kayla, packing after she'd pushed their hell-raising sons into starting fires, jumping off roofs, etc. Can we expect to see a teenaged Kayla return to Wisteria Lane with a vengeance? This is your chance to ask Huffman and Savant.
Submit your questions in the comments below by Tuesday, July 15 and be sure to include your first name and city/state.

(S04E11) "A church isn't a place for questions. It's a place for answers." - Bree to LynetteAfter months without new episodes of
Desperate Housewives, I was like Lynette this week: I had questions and wanted answers. Sadly for me, Lynette's quest for answers and faith took precedent over my own curiosity and hopes.
As you know, I'm
a spoilers addict, so my expectations for the remaining season 4 episodes of the series were pretty high since I was promised loads of answers about the mysteries surrounding Katherine and Dylan. Because of my wanting of answers, Lynette's storyline, which took most of the air time this week, felt flat.

"Uncomfortable people don't ask questions." - KatherineLast week introduced "Kree" or "Bretherine" (two suggestions made by TV Squad reader
D) to us. Most of the TV Squad readers who took part in
our poll seemed to like the nemesis and their respectful yet devilish fights. After last week's great episode, I had high expectations for this week's
Desperate Housewives: I wanted more Bree and Katherine face offs, I wanted to get a few clues to the Mayfairs' secret, and I wanted the hit man hired by Carlos to take care of Edie.

"We better start coming up with better lies." - KatherineAfter a controversial season premiere (in case you haven't heard,
ABC had to apologize for a joke Susan made while in Adam's office),
Desperate Housewives tries to have the Mayfairs, who moved to Wisteria Lane last week, settle in.
In last week's TV Squad DH poll, 68% of the voters said they thought the Mayfairs were a good addition to the show. Based solely on last week's episode, I have to agree. But now that we are getting more backstory about the Mayfairs and seeing them interact more with their neighbors, have we changed our mind?
