Ask Desperate Housewives Stars a Question for Outside the Box

Desperate Housewives fans had a lot of questions after last season's shocking fast-forward finale (what the *$#@ happened to Mike, for one). Now, AOL TV is gathering those questions and will pose them to stars Felicity Huffman and Doug Savant as part of its upcoming "Outside the Box" video interview series.

In the season finale, Lynette and Tom sent his trouble daughter, Kayla, packing after she'd pushed their hell-raising sons into starting fires, jumping off roofs, etc. Can we expect to see a teenaged Kayla return to Wisteria Lane with a vengeance? This is your chance to ask Huffman and Savant.

Submit your questions in the comments below by Tuesday, July 15 and be sure to include your first name and city/state.

Desperate Housewives about to serve up a big twist

Desperate HousewivesAnd yes there are MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD! So turn back now if you don't want to be spoiled!

There's a big twist coming to ABC's Desperate Housewives. And it involves Teri Hatcher and Marcia Cross wearing jetpacks and eating pills that will take the place of meals.

Well, OK, maybe they won't have any of that, but Desperate Housewives is taking a cue from Lost and will jump five years into the future in the last moments of the season finale in May. Cross let the news out on Ellen. But it's not going to do a back and forth in time like Lost, it's going to stay in the year 2013 (or will that be 2012, considering this season started in 2007?).

Desperate Housewives: Sunday

Desperate Housewives(S04E11) "A church isn't a place for questions. It's a place for answers." - Bree to Lynette

After months without new episodes of Desperate Housewives, I was like Lynette this week: I had questions and wanted answers. Sadly for me, Lynette's quest for answers and faith took precedent over my own curiosity and hopes.

As you know, I'm a spoilers addict, so my expectations for the remaining season 4 episodes of the series were pretty high since I was promised loads of answers about the mysteries surrounding Katherine and Dylan. Because of my wanting of answers, Lynette's storyline, which took most of the air time this week, felt flat.

Desperate Housewives: The Game

Desperate Housewives
(S04E03) "Uncomfortable people don't ask questions." - Katherine

Last week introduced "Kree" or "Bretherine" (two suggestions made by TV Squad reader D) to us. Most of the TV Squad readers who took part in our poll seemed to like the nemesis and their respectful yet devilish fights. After last week's great episode, I had high expectations for this week's Desperate Housewives: I wanted more Bree and Katherine face offs, I wanted to get a few clues to the Mayfairs' secret, and I wanted the hit man hired by Carlos to take care of Edie.

Desperate Housewives: Smiles of a Summer Night

Desperate Housewives
(S04E02) "We better start coming up with better lies." - Katherine

After a controversial season premiere (in case you haven't heard, ABC had to apologize for a joke Susan made while in Adam's office), Desperate Housewives tries to have the Mayfairs, who moved to Wisteria Lane last week, settle in. In last week's TV Squad DH poll, 68% of the voters said they thought the Mayfairs were a good addition to the show. Based solely on last week's episode, I have to agree. But now that we are getting more backstory about the Mayfairs and seeing them interact more with their neighbors, have we changed our mind?

Desperate Housewives: Now You Know (season premiere)

Desperate Housewives(S04E01) "No more secrets. From now on, we tell every shocking details of our lives." - Lynette

The ladies of Wisteria Lane are back and it's certain that they won't follow through on the promise they made to each other to not keep secrets! The Season Three finale of Desperate Housewives may not have been the most cliffhanger-y out there, but still, fans (I include myself in the lot) were wondering what was in store for the ladies and their men this upcoming season. But most importantly, we wanted to know if Edie survived her suicide attempt.

Five reasons why Melrose Place may be the best show ever

Heather LocklearWelcome to TV Squad Lists, a feature where each blogger has a chance to list his or her own rundown of things in television that stand out from the rest, both good and bad.

A few summers ago, I discovered reruns of Melrose Place on the Style Channel. The show had always been a sort of kryptonite for me, since I never watched it during its original run. Basically, if anyone wanted to "Stump the King" all they had to do was ask me a Melrose question. Since it was summer and I had little to watch, I decided to give it a look. Well, I fell in love with it. When I told people that I had been watching the show and loving it, they were shocked. I was hard pressed to come up with concrete reasons why I was so taken with the show but here is what I came up with.

1. I'm watching my friends.
Even though the stories are ridiculous (Michael trying to kill Sydney, Kimberly blowing up the building, etc.), I can't wait to see what happens to these characters, because I have so much invested. Andrew Shue can play soccer and pretend he's a philanthropist till he's dead for all I care, but Billy Campbell has became a dear friend and if I go too long without seeing him, I miss him (yes, in a gay way).

Desperate Housewives: God, That's Good

Desperate Housewives(S03E19) Last week's episode left me with a lot of questions and expectations for this week's installment of Desperate Housewives. Would Susan dump Ian for good? How would Edie and Carlos' relationship evolve? Would Lynette cheat on Tom with Rick? But most importantly, I wanted to know how Mr. McCluskey died, why he was in the freezer and why was Mrs. McCluskey not reporting his death?

Even though I'm a spoilers addict and knew most of the answers to my own questions, spoilers are never 100% accurate so I was impatiently waiting for the episode. Sadly, the episode didn't give me all the goods I was waiting for.

Melrose Place coming to DVD in November

Melrose PlaceI never watched Melrose Place. And it wasn't because I was anti-soap opera. I watched every single episode of Knot's Landing, and I've been watching Guiding Light since around 1979 or '80, but Melrose Place never caught my interest. I think I saw just two scenes, both with Marcia Cross. The scene where she took her wig off, revealing a scar, and the scene where the she blew up the complex. Beyond that, even though the show starred Courtney Thorne-Smith (big crush), I didn't see any of the episodes.

But fans can rejoice: the first season of the show will be released on DVD November 7. It will be an 8 DVD set, but no word on what the extras will be.

Firefly: Bushwacked

firefly bushwacked
(S01E02) Not an episode that stands out above the rest, but it has its moments. We're really getting a feel for who these characters are, what quirks they each have and who likes/dislikes whom. This episode also deals a lot with the Reavers, what they are (or actually, what they are not) and what they're capable of.

We're gradually being introduced to these mysterious Reavers, and in coming episodes we start to gain some understanding as to who or what these creatures are. Heck, even Jayne is afraid to death of these things, and the stories Mal tells seem to sound worse with every coming episode.
