(S08E09) I was jarred by the beginning of the show. I flip the channels and realize that right after the credits, the show started off with Lil Kim and Derek's performance. Wait, what? Gilles and Cheryl scored better by three points. No matter.
I'll admit that I skipped the performance in favor of
Adam Lambert. His performance on
American Idol was more interesting than five minutes of a dance I saw before. In the recap, we learned that last night Melissa ripped her dress, which is one of the reasons why she was thrown off.

This show went off the radar awhile back and left less traces of its existence than Amelia Earhart. But earlier today it came back, only to be blown out of the water.

Daily Show such as
David Spade's Showbiz Show and the lesser-known
Sports Central that never made it past the pilot stage. And it certainly won't be the last.

(S08E01) After hearing the lineup of "celebrities" that were performing, I was definitely on the fence. Then Jewel and Nancy O'Dell dropped out, and I was excited to see how Holly Madison and Melissa Rycroft would perform with less time than everyone else.
It floors me that these two looked better than several of the men. There was the most evil of glares coming from Jewel during the whole show. After the jump, a quick rundown of all the performances.

Fake news must be Comedy Central's bread-and-butter these days. The network has no fewer than three fake news shows:
The Daily Show,
The Colbert Report, and
The Showbiz Show with David Spade. Now it's considering a fourth faux news program for its lineup. This time, it's
The Chocolate News, starring David Alan Grier.
David Alan Grier is one of the funniest comedians out there right now, but nothing ever seems to stick for him. He was hilarious on Bonnie Hunt's short-lived show,
Life With Bonnie, and on
In Living Color back in the early 1990s. Mostly, though, he just plays great supporting roles or guest stars on current television shows.
Grier is currently rounding up writers and other talent to appear in the pilot he's pitching to Comedy Central. He has also agreed to host a new improv show on NBC this spring called
Thank God You're Here.
