In a TV Guide exclusive, Michael Ausiello reports that The New Adventures of Old Christine could be moving to ABC if CBS doesn't give it a third season pick up. The way I see it, this is great news for ABC. They seem to do great at one-hour dramedies -- Ugly Betty, Pushing Daisies, Desperate Housewives -- but just swing and miss when developing good sitcoms. Only Samantha Who has been a winner this year; its most recent effort, Miss/Guided, has left me cold.Posts with tag Cynopsis

The TV Squad cancellation trifecta game: Update 1
It's been a bit over a week since we started the TV Squad cancellation trifecta game, and a near-miss today calls for an update. As reported in today's Cynopsis, Nashville has been taken out of its Friday night slot for the next two weeks, making room for repeats of K-Ville. However, this is not a cancellation -- yet! Word is that this is due to the baseball season, with the show returning when baseball concludes.
So, what happens if Nashville actually never returns? Well, according to a quick look at the entries to the contest, there are about 200 of you who've chosen this show as the first to go, and you'll all be in the drawing for the first part of the prize. Cross your fingers!
ABC pulls Help Me Help You
Remember that post I did this past weekend where I called Help Me Help You the "least publicized show of 2006?" Well, now we know why ABC hasn't publicized it at all: it looks like they're pretty much done with it.According to Cynopsis, the Ted Danson comedy has been pulled from next week's schedule, running back-to-back episodes of Big Day instead. Now, that could have been done because of the holiday, but they could have also scheduled a repeat, too. Anyway, the article states that ABC hasn't announced anything official, but there's also "no word" on when it's returning to the schedule.
As I pointed out in my Sunday post on the show, the ratings have been dismal, especially since Dancing with the Stars ended. So this isn't a big surprise.
