Chuck: Chuck vs. the Breakup

Zach Levi(S02E03) "I'm living in a Lamborghini. You can't imagine how little leg room there is." - Von Hayes

I have to be honest, at this point, I am really over Chuck's crush on Sarah. Even if he had a realistic shot at landing a hottie like her, he has already acknowledged that while he is the Intersect, he can't be in a serious relationship. Isn't that why he stopped dating Lou? it just seems that he and Sarah have a lot on their plate right now and unless he wants to be the under qualified half of a Mr. & Mrs. Smith scenario, he needs to accept that their relationship is a cover and nothing else.

One Happy Family(S04E15) "All right, one more time for the slow kid." - Lee Scanlon

When I was in grade school, sixth grade to be precise, everyone brought their lunch to school in a small brown paper bag, sometimes, girls used a cute version (white bag with hearts, pink bag with kitties) but other than that, there were no exceptions. If anyone was foolish enough to bring their mid day meal to school in a lunchbox of any kind, they would pay dearly. For example, my friend Lance who quickly earned the nickname "Lunchbox Lance" all because of his love for the rock band Kiss. Thankfully, it never occurred to Lance to fight back like the young man in Allison's dream. However, now that I am an adult and I collect vintage metal lunchboxes, I would pay a hefty price for the lunchbox that young man used to bludgeon his tormentor.

NBC sued over Heroes

HeroesSomehow I expected this: NBC is being sued over one of the concepts used on its hit series Heroes. Not that I expected the show's creators and writers to have "stolen" ideas from elsewhere, but I expected some artists to try and claim the show stole ideas they developed before Heroes first aired. When a show becomes a hit, people want a piece of the pie.

In this case, New York artists and couple Clifton Mallery and Amnau Karam Eele claim that Heroes' creators based the Isaac character and his power on a short story, a painting series and a short film they exhibited in 2004 and 2005.

Fixing NBC at 10

NBCWhen 10PM rolls around, it's generally not a pleasant time for NBC. Mostly it's where the network goes to get its hat handed to it by somebody. What the strategy is for the 10 o'clock slot boggles me. So far, my best explanation sounds like the plot from a bad Lucy episode.

Imagine Lucy and Ethel get a gig cleaning the offices at NBC. Some crazy hijinks erupt and somehow all the shows get knocked off of the big magnetic schedule board. They do their best to try and put them back, but it seems they have mixed up a few of the shows at 10. The executives all come in the next day and everyone assumes that someone else made the change. Not wanting to rock the boat, they all just roll with it, to the detriment of the shows and the network. Here's what Lucy and Ethel got wrong, and what NBC needs to fix.

Heroes creator Tim Kring interviewed, twice

Tim KringTim Kring has been around TV a long time, with writing credits that go back as far as Knight Rider and Misfits of Science. He's probably better known for his more recent work though, writing for Providence, and creating Crossing Jordan and Heroes. It looks like Heroes could very well be his most successful show to date. With NBC already picking it up for a full season and solid ratings each week, it is one of just a few new shows that could be deemed a hit.

Kring has recently done a couple of interviews that shed a little light on just what they are up to with the show. There are some small spoilers, just so you know. The thing that sticks out to me is what he says when asked about how long the show will go, and what the overall plan is. "At the end of season one, there will be a resolution to the pilot's prophecy." That's good to know. You can find the interviews at TV addict, and TV Guide. Heroes airs tonight at 9, on NBC.

NBC bumps Crossing Jordan for new game show

crossing jordanSorry, Crossing Jordan fans. NBC has pushed back the season premiere, in favor of a new game show hosted by Bob Saget. The game show is called 1 vs 100 and it's a game where one contestant battles 100 other people to win $1 million. It's the American version of a game show that is already popular in Europe. The series premiere is at 8 pm on October 20th, as a lead-in to the season premiere of Las Vegas.

NBC hasn't announced a new premiere date for Crossing Jordan.

Three more series are renewed for NBC's fall schedule

James Caan of Las VegasGee, with all of the announcements NBC is making about its upcoming fall schedule, I'm not too sure what they're going to talk about during the upfronts come May. I guess they'll play charades with the press. Or perhaps their advanced notice is a subtle message to advertisers.

We first reported that NBC has renewed all three shows in the Law & Order franchise for next season. Now, three more dramas are joining the list:  Medium, Las Vegas, and Crossing Jordan. What, no Joey? All three series drew about 11 million viewers per episode, with Las Vegas holding on to much of its audience during the show's move to Friday nights.
