One of my favorite sketches from
Chappelle's Show was "Charlie Murphy's True Hollywood Stories". It was proof that the best sketches come from real stories and it was a perfect example of how nutty a world the entertainment business is.
Hopefully, we'll be seeing more of that sort of comedy by Charlie Murphy as he will be
hosting his own sketch comedy show called
Charlie Murphy's Crash Comedy on Sony's
Crackle.com video network.
I can only imagine the conversation at the Murphy family reunions nowadays. "I have a new movie coming out." "Will it suck like
Pluto Nash? Well, now I have my own comedy series." "Yeah, but it's just on the Internet." Naturally, there would be a lot more profanity than what I'm writing. Hollywood should just put the two of them in a movie together and be done with it.
Do you think Eddie will make a cameo on Charlie's show?

What happens if you're the former star of a hit TV show but the work isn't coming anymore? Well, there are plenty of bad options, but now you can make your own show on the web.
That's what former
Married ... With Children star David Faustino has done with
Star-ving, a new web show at
Crackle.com. Episode 1 is up right now (and after the jump). It's not too long, and it's worth seeing. It's not the funniest thing, but kudos to everyone for going all out.
Faustino is pretty much playing a version of himself, and he's trying to get work in an industry that seems to have forgotten him. He goes to former co-star Ed O'Neil (nice of him to do a cameo here, and he's really funny) for help, and O'Neil pretty much tells him he's out of his f*****g mind. The show also co-stars former
Parker Lewis Can't Lose star Corin Nemec.
Episode 2 features Gilbert Gottfried, and future eps will feature Christina Applegate, Katey Segal, Ed Asner, and the cast of
Growing Pains.
This is NSFW. It features swearing, references to drugs and suicide, and a disturbing scene of a German Shepherd licking Faustino's rear end.

Ladies, your dreams have come true. It looks like you will have a chance to date television star Brad Garrett. He's executive-producing and starring in an online dating reality show called, duh, Dating Brad Garrett.
Garrett is best known for his nine-year stint as Ray Romano's brother in the popular sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond. He is currently entering his third season as one of the stars of the Fox sitcom Til Death.
"An online dating show seemed like a logical choice given that I'm in the midst of a midlife crisis and averse to pain, which makes getting my ear pierced out of the question," Garrett said. "And since I'm not picky about my choices, I hope women of all sizes, shapes and colors will be compelled to submit their videos."
Women can submit videos to the Crackle.com site at Crackle.com/DateBrad. I wonder if he'll be more popular than Tila Tequila?
