(S03E01) If you were a little disappointed with last year's strike-shortened season, not to mention that horrible diversion south of the border and that other lengthy one to feudal Japan,
Heroes is looking to get back on track with its third season. "Volume 3: Villains" begins with tonight's two hour premiere, and continues for the first thirteen episodes before giving way to "Volume 4: Fugitives" for the remainder of the season.
We know that "Villains" will feature a re-powered Sylar and introduce a whole slew of more super powered baddies to the
Heroes universe. I can't say that this was the most accessible place for potential new viewers to jump into the storyline, unless they caught that "red carpet" extravaganza before the episode began, but if you were able to keep up with it, they're certainly looking to turn things on their ears this year.

(S02E03) Back by popular demand, we're sticking with the format that
Varun put to such good use in
his most recent reviewcap of
Heroes.
I'm actually thrilled he came up with it as my fingers were on the verge of falling off after pecking out the gargantuan review of the first episode. Since we happen to lack Claire's immaculate regenerative qualities, Varun and I would have been fingerless by season end had we kept up with the old format.

(S02E02) "Have you seen a scary white man?" - Hiro Nakamura, time traveler.Last week at TV Squad we had a big discussion on how to handle our "reviewcaps," the episodes of the big shows that we both provide a plot summary and review of. It seemed that we were getting a lot of very detailed plot descriptions, but not enough review. These special posts seem to go on and ramble on forever and there clearly needed to be some change. It was decided that we would treat reviewcaps not as entire episode treatments, but rather a review where all the major plot points are touched upon.
So I present to you, my lovely audience, my first ever (intentional) reviewcap!

Harry Knowles of
Ain't It Cool News has struck upon a fanboy quandary worthy of "how could Lois Lane have Superman's baby because her uterus would burst when the superbaby kicked?"
The application of geek hyperlogic often results in finding the superhero loophole. In this case, the superhero in question is
Heroes' regenerating, resuscitating cheerleader Claire Bennet.
Harry's question asks that if she is infinitely repairable, at the age when her cellular growth would be complete and, as a virgin, wouldn't her broken hymen infinitely repair itself? The discomfort of this would turn her off from having sex with men so she would be a virgin, cheerleading 17 year-old lesbian forever.
I suppose the "moral" part of Harry's quandary comes from the fact that the character is only 17, but he is quick to point out that this is above the age of consent in Texas where her character is located. It's good he looked into the state-by-state age of consent laws. Otherwise, people might think he was perv or something.
