Dear Chris Brown: You're still a loser
R&B singer Chris Brown stopped by Larry King's studio last night, and said ... well, nothing, really. Anyone tuning in to hear some juicy revelations about his actions concerning singer Rihanna didn't get much. During the hour-long interview, Brown said several times that he didn't want to talk about his felony-assault conviction that resulted in five years probation and six months of community labor. The conversation went something like this:
Larry: "Do you love her?"
Chris: "Definitely."
Larry: "In love with her?"
Chris: "Definitely."
That's about as deep as it got, with Brown repeatedly telling Larry that he wasn't going to talk about the case "out of respect for her and myself." Ok, so why were you there then?

AI7 Report Card: The season that was
We scoured the earth (and the archives at various record companies for failed projects that showed vocal promise) to create the greatest assemblage of singing talent American Idol has ever seen! So what happened? After last year's virtual snooze-fest, how did a season that truly did give us perhaps the greatest depth of talent we've ever seen (an argument could be made for Season Five) give us such lackluster shows? After Sanjaya-gate last year, the biggest controversy to come out this year was that finalist David Hernandez used to be a stripper and David Archuleta's dad might be a Mr. Meany-Pants. And we got to be pissed that Kristy Lee Cook outlasted the likes of Michael Johns. Not until we got to the finale of Davids did things get really intense.

R&B star Chris Brown on The O.C.
During the MTV Video Music Awards, Chris Brown (whose song "Run It" has been playing on loop in my head, fighting strong against my attempts to drown it out with Radiohead) revealed that he has landed a role in the upcoming season of The O.C. He said that he will be playing a "band geek" in his seven episode stint, but I think it's just a weak cover-up by FOX. Something tells me that he's actually playing the mortal vessel that ends up carrying Marissa's ghost, occasionally speaking in her voice and pitching Neutrogena products. It'd be brilliant because no one would see it coming. Except me.
