What You Missed Last Night: Jimmy Fallon shoots a gun and makes quips

Apparently there was a big video game released yesterday. Galaga or something? Last night Jimmy Fallon disclosed that he filmed scenes for the game but the character was ultimately rejected. Luckily there's still footage of the scenes.

They should have given Jimmy more time to get out of his outfit though.

It's Jack Bauer! On Call of Duty!

Keifer Sutherland in Call of DutyI was playing Call of Duty: World at War with my son the other day (hey, I'm the cool mom), and he said, "You know, that sounds like Jack Bauer." I listened, and sure enough, that unmistakable "Fire!" was indeed Kiefer Sutherland, a.k.a. Jack Bauer on 24.

It's always fun when stuff like this happens, where you recognize a beloved TV character's voice elsewhere. I surfed around YouTube and found a video of Sutherland in the recording studio, along with Gary Oldman, who played James Gordon on The Dark Knight, among dozens of other films.

Big shock of the day -- Chuck's Gomez is a gaming wonk

Joshua Gomez loves his games, and shows it on ChuckJoshua Gomez, Morgan on the NBC action-comedy Chuck, loves his video games. And, when I say 'loves' I really mean 'LOVES'. In an article at the gaming website Kotaku, Gomez talks about the game references that are liberally sprinkled throughout an episode. He mentions that many of those references are ad-libbed because the writers aren't actually gamers, themselves.

Despite Jan's dismay over Michael's "Movie Mondays" and other offbeat practices, she must have some feelings for him at some level, because she did warn Michael about Dwight instead of looking to replace him. Obviously, their "hookup" last season must have had some effect on her.
